NOW.

As another poster stated, in another thread, waiting till the end of the season kills the recruiting class.

Ideally, the firing and hiring of a new coach should be on the same day. The search should have already begun, on the QT. The new coach should have an OC and DC within 2 weeks, and complete his staff by season's end.

Early action is the only way to salvage the recruiting class.

Bull****.

I hate most of the current staff as much as the next guy, but you fire him now and you get flayed by the media and your attempt to hire your next HC is handicapped. Much better to let him go after the inevitable 5th loss, regardless of whether it's against FSU or UNC. Only benefit to firing him now is that our fanbase wouldn't have to look at his tie-wearing *** on the sidelines or hear anymore of his bull****, and, as pleasing as that might be, it wouldn't be worth it in the long run.

I have to agree... as much as we all want call for his head, there isn't anything to be gained by making rash moves following the first loss in game 1.

I don't believe, nor do many here think he'll right this ship anytime soon, so we're stuck for the time being. Water seeks its own level-- an if that's any indicator, better to let it play out. The degree of ineptitude will determine his fate. One that's most likely already sealed.

there's little to be gained firing him at any point during the season-- purely symbolic-- ala Pat Hayden at Southern Cal firing Kiffin on the tarmac. I love the coldness and vengeance of doing it that way, but it didn't change their season. Nor would it do much for ours. I figure we're stuck with him regardless.

If the next coach gets his *** kicked in sfla recruiting that trend equals failure is in his future.

This would have been an appropriate time right here:

You dudes are clueless... If your not happy, Go follow UF for a while...

How about you go follow Golden when he gets ****canned.

I'm ok with it, but I ain't no dumbazz either saying he should get fired after 1 game that we weren't supposed to win anyways... Or some bull****, like after the first game. Yeah, I was ****ed, but come on...

Well Mr. I ain't no dumbazz, you enjoy watching your buddy Alfred & he's chums make our boys look like cupcakes BUT US REAL FANS DEMAND CHANGE

Is it better to remove cancer now or remove it later after it has already spread? I think you know the answer to that one....

The sooner, the better. Get an interim all season like Orgeron did (make it Ice for all I care since we probably have to keep him in some capacity, too harmful to recruiting the area to get rid of him right away and may be able to rally the SFla troops) then get a real coach come December.

LOL @ this guy's username. I bet this is that Cutler Ridge DJ Laz or whatever his name is.

If you're happy with UM getting blown out, and think it's OK that UM is SUPPOSED to lose to Louisville without their 2 best offensive players, then please don't ever associate with this program again.

why wait. if it needs to be done do it now.

the longer you wait you just prolong the search...the recruiting, etc.

i think the consensus is golden will never get um to where it needs to be.

i say blast him tomorrow. let everyone know there is a commitment to winning.
