patrick peterson played CB too, you dummies
Patrick Peterson wasn't an all everything Mr.Football that had starred at RB and KR you dummy. PP was a great player in his own right and electric as a returner, but not an experienced RB. Devin Hester is an incredibly electric player, but struggled to be a dominant offensive player. Point being, speed and talent don't necessarily make you an elite RB. Corn has the vision, instincts and experience playing the position that makes for a stud RB, at least at the college level, in my opinion. Plus enough speed. Too small for the pros, but for college he would be a deadly scat back.
It took a serious injury to Berrios for him to get a shot at returning punts. Shows you the lack of team management and positional evaluation skills that Fraulden had displayed while corching at the U.
You must not be from south florida to say that about Patrick Peterson (then patrick johnson). He played QB, RB, CB, KR, PR. Cris Carter even said something about him doing it all as Carter was helping coach St. Thomas Aquinas while Peterson was at Ely.
I grew up in SoFla, since I was 7. I have only been out of state since 2008. I saw all of the great Miami teams from the first National Championship in 83' til now.
I did not follow high-school football until just a few seasons ago, so it's my bad on not knowing that PP played all of those positions. The point I was making is still the same. Corn was Mr. Football in TN. And before you all start talking **** about FL players being way better than other players, Corn is one one the best athletes and players on our team.
Also, a lot of our legendary players were from out-of-state, for example (Ed Reed, Reggie Wayne, Ken Dorsey, D.J. Williams, Vinny Testaverde, Bernie Kosar, Cortez Kennedy, Rusty Medearis, Jessie Armstead, Rob Chudzinski, Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow II, Bryant McKinnie, Steve Walsh, Kevin Williams, Cleveland Gary, Bubba Franks, Danny Stubbs, Greg Mark, Russell Maryland, Gino Torreta) just to name a few.
Not to say that Florida doesn't produce more talented players than other states as a whole, but we still have traditionally had great players from other states.
