Best running back on the team . . .

From what I saw last night I think we are blessed with three very good running backs. I don't know which one may seperates from the pack but we already know what Joe Yearby brings. Walton look elusive, fast, shifty, and very skilled. I loved Chocolate as he ran hard, fast, and for a big man showed quickness with some moves. Love to see Chocolate get a lot more touches because he is a brusier and can punish tacklers over the course of the game. He is always falling NORTH which I like.

kid weighed like 160 coming into college, walton is 210. He’s amazing with the ball in his hands which is why he’s the return man. But he has a huge ceiling at DB and cannot sustain work load of an RB in a power conference was not a bad move by golden at all.

That's revisionist history. The only reasons we saw what Elder could do as a punt returner tonight are because Berrios got injured early and Waters muffed one (though fair catch interference was called on Bethune). Golden, in his infinite wisdom as the special teams coach, didn't realize what type of playmaker he had with Elder until the first game of his junior season.

It's inexplicable that it took this long to give such a talented return man an opportunity. And it only happened due to injury and another player's mistake.

This.

patrick peterson played CB too, you dummies

Patrick Peterson wasn't an all everything Mr.Football that had starred at RB and KR you dummy. PP was a great player in his own right and electric as a returner, but not an experienced RB. Devin Hester is an incredibly electric player, but struggled to be a dominant offensive player. Point being, speed and talent don't necessarily make you an elite RB. Corn has the vision, instincts and experience playing the position that makes for a stud RB, at least at the college level, in my opinion. Plus enough speed. Too small for the pros, but for college he would be a deadly scat back.

It took a serious injury to Berrios for him to get a shot at returning punts. Shows you the lack of team management and positional evaluation skills that Fraulden had displayed while corching at the U.

As you know a lot of college football players commit to a school that's going to put them in the pro's. His shot at NFL is at CB.

If corn was a RB for us he might bw 4th string out of 4. he might start I have no idea. But I 100% know we need him at CB

Corn's freshman year he got some time as a returner. He did ok, but also got hurt and was not put back in that position.

Been calling for Corn to return kicks for the longest glad he did his thing last night.... if yall would've saw his tape out of HS yall should've been questioning why he hasn't had the ball in his hands since 2013

Hes too small to be an RB full time... Which would leave him as what? Slot type? I think he should be right where he is returning AND starting corner

Exactly you phaaggots he was put at returner and got hurt the ***** was weighing 165 the simple fact is we should have had DUke returning punts and kicks last year. Saying all this Golden is a horrible special temas coach...no way in **** Burns should ever be at KR no way in **** Waters should be at PR...he has no wiggle at all..Im all in for ELder #1 Berrios #2 Gray @ KR untill he fumbles in an important game MArk Walton is not KR also Yearby shuld also be in as PR

You must not be from south florida to say that about Patrick Peterson (then patrick johnson). He played QB, RB, CB, KR, PR. Cris Carter even said something about him doing it all as Carter was helping coach St. Thomas Aquinas while Peterson was at Ely.

I grew up in SoFla, since I was 7. I have only been out of state since 2008. I saw all of the great Miami teams from the first National Championship in 83' til now.

I did not follow high-school football until just a few seasons ago, so it's my bad on not knowing that PP played all of those positions. The point I was making is still the same. Corn was Mr. Football in TN. And before you all start talking **** about FL players being way better than other players, Corn is one one the best athletes and players on our team.

Also, a lot of our legendary players were from out-of-state, for example (Ed Reed, Reggie Wayne, Ken Dorsey, D.J. Williams, Vinny Testaverde, Bernie Kosar, Cortez Kennedy, Rusty Medearis, Jessie Armstead, Rob Chudzinski, Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow II, Bryant McKinnie, Steve Walsh, Kevin Williams, Cleveland Gary, Bubba Franks, Danny Stubbs, Greg Mark, Russell Maryland, Gino Torreta) just to name a few.

Not to say that Florida doesn't produce more talented players than other states as a whole, but we still have traditionally had great players from other states.

Thats fair, I respect that and understand your main point.

I have been arguing this since he was moved to corner. When he signed, his measurable so were identical to De'Anthony Thomas and I even posted them here from scout. The funny thing is Thomas was projected to be a corner and Corn was projected to be a RB at the next level.

Being located in SFL, how do you not sign a WR that can make people miss? We have ZERO WRs that can make people miss in space, unless Coley reverts to his freshman form. Wouldn't mind seeing him play SOME snaps on offense. Bubble screen (lol I know), jet sweep, angle route, tunnel screen, nine route, etc... Plenty of teams have done this, whether void of playmakers or not.

Some former and current defensive college players that have taken snaps on offense:

Aquib Talib
Chris Gamble
Terence Newman
Devin Hester
Charles Woodson
Deion Sanders
Patrick Peterson
Honey Badger
Vernon Hargreaves
Myles Jack
Budda Baker
Cameron Echols-Luper
Adoree Jackson
Charles Nelson
Nick Vigil

I'm fairly certain that Butch Davis would have him playing in the proper position and role.

two things that are glaring from that highlight tape:

1) a south florida three star is a 4 star anywhere else

2) Ed Reed was a 2 star.
