Mensah will have ti extend 5-6 drives with his legs .BYU did a good job of moving the chains with short passes and QB runs.

Jacobs vs Pitt.
I’d be really surprised if the initial 3 first time we go 11 isn’t Jacobs at X, Barkate at Z and Upshaw in the slot.
Spafford will get work behind Upshaw, Wingo will get work behind Jacobs, and Barkate probably plays every snap, sometimes moving into the slot.
Have to throw the ball to the backs and Lofton more too. Go tempo with Bowen out and make them have to communicate on the fly. One thing a lot of people don’t realize is, when the offensive team is on the road, yes it’s loud and hard to communicate. But it’s loud for the defense too. If they’re already missing their green dot, and it’s loud, go fast. Maybe we get a bust or some misalignment.
Mensah and Barkate have a special connection. I could see Coop getting 8-10 targets. I also think Loften could be the X factor. Dawson’s already dialed up some plays for him and this could be a big game for him. This is my thinking. Jacob’s and Barkate outside , Upshaw slot and Spafford backs him up. Wingo replaces outside guys. I’d also like 11 personnel with Lofton not just inline.Get him on linebackers. This could be his game. Lofton and Barkate need to be moving around. Barkate needs snaps at slot to maybe avoid Moore some and get more room to operate.
This could be a huge game for all the Pringle enthusiasts on the board.Swing passes to Lyle, Mallory, Pringle
Yes. Upshaw has the skills to be dangerous in the slot. In addition that means he is lined up on Gray. He has been getting cooked all season he is ranked 853rd / 1011 CB.You want him to replace the guy that doesn’t drop the ball?
