Off-Topic Best places to stay in Miami for college kids

What’s up guys me and my college friends are going down to Miami for spring break. I was wondering what’s the best area to stay and if you guys suggest staying in a hotel or going the air bnb route. Also want to note there is 5 of us.

I mean, for your age group, is there another answer other than South Beach? If that's not what you're interested in, both Downtown/Brickell are cool, hip spots, but you're likely about 15-20 away from the beach. Ft. Lauderdale is likely cheaper. What are you guys interested in doing primarily?

Check the restrictions before you book...there's talk again of curfews in South Beach. You may want to head elsewhere....

I went to R. R. Moten elementary school. I hated the ghetto culture. I was able to transfer to Whispering Pines in East Perrine. I had to walk two miles each way everyday, but it was worth it. BTW, only West Perrine is bad. The east side is middle class.
