First off, Golden will be in a dead man walking in 2015 with a new pres. More than likely re arranging the orginizational chart in the AD. So, my question to you is what record would help the next head coach infuse most hope?

Is this a question??????? How about going undefeated?

The question the OP asked was "what record would help the next head coach infuse most hope?"

If Golden is gone, either because he's gets fired, or because he leaves on his own, then the answer is 15-0.

The answer is whatever it takes to get Al out of here. The worst outcome is probably 9 wins, because Al would still be awful but end up keeping his job. Until I see otherwise I'm skeptical of a new president being different than the current regime

The next coach will give zero ***** about the past and will be looking towards the future implementing his system, especially if the next coach is Butch Davis

I can tell you the worst outcome would be going 8-4 or 9-3 because we'd not have accomplished anything significant yet this would probably be enough to keep Golden around.

I have the feeling that Golden does not want to be here, but there is currently no job he could bolt for.

If he has another year below expectations, I believe he will be fired. If he exceeds expectations (minimum, win the Coastal), he will likely have an opportunity to get another job and get out of here. I don't think he will be here in 2016 no matter what happens in 2015.

I think 5 wins. Lose at FSU, CLemson, GT and Nebraska at home and then we choke on the road at least 2 more times between Pitt, UVA, UNC. The key game will be the ACC game in week 3 or 4. We could be 3-2 after 5 games. And lets not forget the road game at Cincy.

4-8 and Golden gone. Just don't see Jim putting forth any effort to be better. Stupid on his part if he wants another job, but when has he done anything smart, especially with NoD hanging around. Both of them want us to be miserable, too! Probably canned before the very last game, which we'll win with Coley as interim. Don't expect our cheap *** admins to move before then.

Al Golden is a survivor. He will most likely pull together a record/series of excuses that is just good enough to satisfy the admin.

7-7(5-3), win the coastal, barely lose the ACCCG, lose a meaningless bowl and pull in a top 20 class.

By no means is that feasible or believable, but given his track record of satisfying minimum requirements, it's what I expect.

We're in **** boys, buckle up for the long haul.
