Hey Andrew….

So we should have best in country for each position group? Wish you had told the coaches that earlier.

You cannot build a perennial winner with just an elite OL. You need elite DL too, as well as at minimum competent LB’s on defense. Both have been huge failures. Mario needed a lot more than the kids that he’s landed.

I’m not even going to get into the enormous failure at recruiting WR and RB, and for all of the posters that are going to keep going with the, “it’s still early, let’s see what we do on the field” line, we aren’t flipping the great majority of these kids, plus with Mario’s awful gameday corching and the brutal schedule that we face this season, we’ll be fortunate to win 7 or 8 games.

When a die-hard, loyal Cane insider like DMoney says recruiting is looking bad, take his word for it.

fair points ... but i push back on rb ... martinez, fletcher, lyle, brown, pringle, now mallory ... we could do worse

recruiting isn't bad, we're light years away from what we used to be ... but there's no questions we've hit a rough patch ...

in regard to mc coaching, everyone has their take on it ... i'm on the record, you can't recruit your way to the upper echelon, you gotta coach your way there

Butch Davis was regarded in the same way as Mario. He built a team that was not nationally recognized as the best collection of recruits but ended up being the greatest assemblage of talent in history. It was so good even Coker couldn't **** it up. Davis never actually won it all with the talent he assembled. He was given GOAT status retroactively.

I wasn’t referring to our RB room. I was referring to this year’s failures. Not getting Cooper is a huge miss and failure, no matter which way you slice it. Other teams continue to take whoever they want from Dade and Broward. That is not acceptable. Same issue that has plagued us over the past couple of decades.

This is not how you move the goalposts.
