In any other year, Haskins wins the Heisman. 70.4% completions, 4,800 yards passing, 50 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. And he is the first quarterback picked in the draft.

Burrow wishes he had this type of athleticism. He had a solid starting year at LSU. He should primed for his senior year.

Martell is exactly the type of athlete we need to run our offense.

Does Martell drive a transfer from the QB room? Do you think Martell wins QB1?

If he does, would seem better QB days are ahead.

Thought JW was touted as a Cam Newton level athlete?

To me, Weldon knows his role, and QB1/2 is going to be TM/JW.

Perry odd man out.

IMO, Weldon was protected by Richt because he coached his father and the kid needs guidance. Got to believe he transfers if he wants to play. Newton has 6'5, 240 pounds when went to Florida and sat behind Tebow. Comparing Williams to Newton is unfair. Williams checked out as soon as it was clear he wasn't going to play much. We will see if he picks it up in the spring. Perry has to be the odd man out. Maybe Enos can do something with him if he can stay out of the doghouse.

Not comparing CN and JW per se, I thought that was the word on him as a recruit. I believe he has a similar frame to CN.

As an aside, twists and turns of life. Tebow beat out Newton, but Cam has had (right or wrong) more productive NFL career.

I know Manziel was amazing in college, but this kid reminds me of a mix between Manziel's elusiveness and Baker Mayfield's creativity and arm. Manziel couldn't really spin it and be accurate like Baker/Tate can. That's an elite arm to go w/the scrambling ability.

I'm absolutely ecstatic that we got Martell...I know we didn't get him straight out of HS, but when is the last time we had a former 5* rated QB in a Miami uniform? Kyle Wright?

Not even those to same size as Cam. 2 to 3 inches shorter and at least 20 pounds lighter as freshmen. Newton was a man among boys as a freshman.

And he was tough, didn't seem to shy away from contact and took some big hits to make plays.
