Best home crowds (post glory days)

2009 vs GT was a party

2008 vs UNC was a hotly contested game with a lively crowd

2011 vs K-State was feisty

2012 vs NC State or whenever that Morris to Dorsett play was

2017 vs GT, UVA and Cuse were equal parts fun, too close for comfort, and harbingers

September 20, 2007 in the Orange Bowl versus No.: 16 Texas A&M. Thursday Night Game. From our seats, we were able to sneak into 50 yard seats on the east side of the stadium. The OB was swaying. Canes won 34-17. I am glad I went to that game. It was like I walked through a wormhole into our past glory. Team went on to **** the bed - beating Duke at home the next week and then losing the next 3 home games - culminating with the 48-0 beatdown Virginia laid on us to close out the grand Ole Lady.
Senior Year. I was so dehydrated coming back from that game, the metro ride back to campus was BRUTAL. We were all feeling it that night. We STILL made it out to The Grove though. Loved that we had TAMU alumni ready to square up after the game, they were salty as ****.

UF 2013 (opening game, noon, white-out) was pretty impressive as well. The gator thought they would outnumber us, but the Canes showed out in force and made the atmosphere pretty intense. Also, hot as ****.
ive been to every game - this is the last time I remember walking out of the stadium screaming "its great to be a Miami hurricane" - this was the last time where this was at an all time high

2009 OU was a great crowd.

2013 UF was rocking, and their fans were complete ******** as expected. Of course, when they lost, they nearly ran out of there.

2014 FSU was a great crowd, but man was that game depressing. We just needed one more play to win that game and we couldn't do it. FSU needed about 20 and pulled it off. Will never forget that deflected pass caught for a TD, or Berrios dropping that pass in the endzone.

Another sleeper pick I'd add is 2010 FSU. Ranked matchup, 3-1, thought we were turning the corner, and FSU just beat the **** out of us from the get-go. That game was the one that convinced me that Randy would never do it.

That 2010 FSU game was such a letdown. We were supposed to be good that year and our only loss prior to that game was against #2 OSU up in Columbus. Everybody thought we were back including me. I know we were favored to win that game by just about everybody. FSU was solid, but didn't seem like they had the playmakers or the team to beat us. We were just better than them for the 2010 season, or so I thought. I was very confident we were going to beat them fairly easy. Not saying a blow out, as those rarely happen in this series, but a convincing win.

I remember watching the game on TV and the crowd seemed pretty electric and intense leading up to kickoff. I was pretty pumped and excited to watch us manhandle one of our most hated rivals. Man, what a bummer from opening kickoff. Just an all-around *** kicking. I still don't know how we lost that bad to them to this day. But, that crowd was pretty awesome for that game.

2012 NC State was hotter than **** man

Will ND 2025 be a louder, more aggressive crowd than ND 2017?
Should be a good one, but I'll predict below 2017. 2017 ND had the lead in of being the first turnover chain season, two midseason undefeated teams, a big VT night win the week before, and Gameday.

That being said, I'll be there to compare and try to prove myself wrong

I was there for all four of those games. Completely agree about 2010 FSU. First game I've ever left early. I've seen bad losses, but that was the first game I witnessed a rival humiliate the Canes in person (I thankfully was not in attendance for the 1997 debacle).

2010. Crowd was great at the start, team didn’t show, and by halftime many had left.

If we are in the way back machine, I put a plug in for 9/12/91. Houston v Miami. Big hype over the Houston QB. I think his name was Klingler. I remember seeing him waiting to come out of the tunnel. Canes fans leaning over the railing abusing him verbally. Security dragged one fan away. Place was insane. It wasn’t PC. It felt like everyone was drunk and out of control. I haven’t seen that kind of raw emotion in a long time. Maybe it was too destructive. But it is a great memory.
I was talking about this game with my father this morning on the way in to work. He has it top 3 environments hes been a part of as a Canes fan. 2017 ND is in that mix for him.
