Best Freshman Season In Canes Football History

Yeah even us old heads can’t hold back any longer. I’m old enough to have seen as freshmen; Michael Irvin, Ray Lewis, Santana Moss (it was obvious), Duke Johnson, Ahmon Richards, and none of them were what Toney is as a freshman. Now they all kept getting better and better and all become great pros (we know what AR would have been), but as a freshman Toney is the best, and he was only 17 at the time we played that “scrimmage” against ND!

It's because he's more than just a good WR. He makes it fun to watch because you never know how he'll be used next and it's always exciting.

In 43 yrs of watching the canes. I've never seen a player with this many accolades n one yr
Generational. That's the only word that
remotely approaches what he is.

He is a FOUR LEVEL player.

-Wideout
-Special Teams
- Passer
-Rusher

oh he can block like a beast and has insane IQ and feel for the game.

There is nothing like that in college football, maybe ever.

And he's JUST a true freshman.
