Best Canes/Noles moment you have had...

Carlos Jones INT to make it 31-17 in 1994 (we won 34-20) and Marley coming off the field saying "Big time players, make big time plays." Loudest I've ever heard the OB.

That's why I got his name!

At the 2012 game, I was walking through the parking lot before the game talking **** to the FSU fans and such and as I walked a group of about 9 of them started following me. I got to the end of the row and they challenged me to a fight. I ain't no ***** but 9 vs. 1 were not odds that I was happy about and I was prepared to maybe beat a few of them and then get my head caved in while all 9 beat me and smashed face to pieces. I started praying to the good Lord for some help.

As if listening to my prayers, I heard somebody from my left yell, "Aye!" I turn to expect more FSU ******s to come attack me but, as I hope some of you remember, the 1987 team was being honored that day and a lot of the former players were tailgating in the area. Mike Sullivan, John O'Neill, George Mira Jr., Alonzo Highsmith, and Greg Mark come around the corner to save my life and it was pretty evident that they were spoiling for a fight. The crew of FSU ******s then backed off because the cavalry was there and 6 vs. 9 seemed a lot more even and they didn't like their chances. They promptly left and I had a, "Thank God," moment with the former players.

So my favorite moment of the Miami-FSU rivalry was when that during the 2012 game the 1987 Miami Hurricanes saved me from potentially getting my teeth knocked out from 9 FSU hillbillies.

Those are all great moments in the UM/FSU rivalry. I'm going to mention one of the most amazing and clutch plays that allowed us to beat FSU but never gets mentioned. Here goes...

2004 and FSU is up 10-3. FSU is driving and with about less tbat 4 minutes to go their drive bogs down at our 17 yard line. Their kicker comes in to attempt a 34 yard FG. If he makes the kick it becomes a 2 possession game at 13-3 and we are done. Devin Hester blocks the field goal from the overload side of the formation! This allows us to eventually tie the game on a Berlin to Moss middle screen with only seconds left and as everyone knows Frank Gore takes it 25 yards to the paint in OT to win the game.

Without Hester's play we lose that game. Such an absolutely incredible and clutch play that very few players could ever dream of making.

After the game Bowden said they were very aware of Hesters ability to block kicks and that they specifically game planned and accounted for him on the play. Bowden said they had an overload protection on Hester's side of the formation which is designed to make it almost impossible for Hester to get around the edge and to the middle to block the kick. Bowden said that up until then he had never seen a player block a field goal coming from around the edge on the overload side. Wow just wow.

2004 - Gore OT winner

Then getting blown by a girl I had been trying to get with in the parking lot in my truck afterwards.

Great night all around

Definitely the 2002 game at the OB.

It was my first FSU game, I was 14, it was hot as balls, and the OB was out of control.

Mcgahee screen pass

Went down with 3 die hard Nole fans.. They talked noise the entire game. We were sitting like 10 rows up in the East End Zone & I swear that choke artist ****** kicker tried to kick it to me. Crickets on the ride home.

Best 4 hours of talking to myself I've ever had.

I was at Wide Right II and the Carolos Jones TD game, but nothing beat Dorsey to Shockey. Nothing.

I think this is where I come out as well. I was at those two games as well, as well as Wide Left and the 2004 game. The 2000 game was so important for the return of the program. The seniors on that team (Moss, Wayne, Morgan, etc.) were on the team that lost 47-0 in Tallahassee (that was not a fun drive home), and they were the guys that helped bring us back. Everyone knew how big that 2000 game was before the game, so the anticipation was enormous. The 1992 and 2000 games were probably the two games where both sides were at their best, with both teams legit title contenders.

What also stood out about the 2000 game was the level of play on both sides - we had a great first half, had the huge Morgan pick before half and it felt like we were going to have a chance to pull away, but they were a really good team and came back. Weinke had a pretty great game against our great secondary, but we were not going to be denied. FSU was a very good team, but we were just better. The drive was epic, and when he missed wide right, it was chaos.
