Berrios is not a return man. Time to find other options

He is great on punter returns . He shouldn't do kick offs. But he is the best we got at punts IMO along with elder.

He's not that bad. A better option than most.

And like the last guy said, we really can't put Coley or Elder back there unless it's a huge situation in a big game where we are looking for a spark.

He's only there till fsu

Please God let this be true

We definitely need someone dynamic and threat to make something happen with the ball in his hands, as our punt returner

Berrios won't fumble, but we need a threat back there, and he's not a guy you need to game plan for in any way.

Let's hope it'll be elder or young in 2-3 weeks

Spill it, Brook. Who's next up?

I don't know specifically. But we have about 5 different dudes who practice at the position during the week. It would've been Sam but with a broken leg that obviously won't happen. He just doesn't wanna give people tape on us until it really matters.

you need balls, and vision to return punts.. not speed

Sean Taylor and Ed Reed were slow in comparison to size... they had vision and balls.

the GOAT and Buchanan were the best Ive seen at Miami, hestor had speed too which made him a great PR

Jermaine Grace was the fastest Cane,, ( before rental gate) I dont think I want him returning punts..

some guys like Dorsett never wanted the ball..

why the hate on berrios?

No one is hating on Berrios, we are just calling it the way it is.

If Alex Gall were starting on the O-line we'd be saying the same thing

Don't get caught doing that with our QB. Dudes act like you kicked their baby in the head....lol

Berrios is just following the call. It looks like they are doing a "return left" so he just tries to get to the edge. He actually would probably do better in a middle type of return so he can just get up field and make guys miss with his quickness. He has very reliable hands and we have not really faced a punter that actually drives the ball down field to see what he really is IMO. I am fine with a guy that is reliable in that spot. TB3 was electric, but every now and then he would do something absolutely stupid. And those tend to really hurt you in the long run...

you would like to have guy in na game like FAU, where the offense is sputtering, to be able to flip the field on at least 1 of the 5-6 punts they had in the first half

Runs lateral too much...needs someone that will attack upfield, wouldn't mind seeing Homer back there he seems fearless on special teams.

Interesting choice, I hadnt thought of Homer, but he has really good speed and your right that he seems fearless out there. Give him a shot to protect guys like Coley and Elder. Ashame Bruce got hurt as hed be great doing that this year

Yea he only returned one last week. Get him out of here.

Just has to go...Only one TD return in two games....And last year had the longest play from scrimmage for the whole year..Can't imagine why Al didn't take him when he left...

unfortunately you can't bring out homer at app state, no pun intended but would of been good to give him a couple at home

I'd prefer reliable to unreliable. Muffed punts and fumbled returns can cost games. Big returns are fun and can change momentum but I'd just as soon not risk turnovers on special teams.
