Berrios is not a return man. Time to find other options

Berrios is too slow and he runs laterally. He's not an explosive player, and won't be a difference maker as a Punt returner, but I can live with him back there, as long as he doesn't turn it over.

Corn Elder should be the guy but as other have said, the injury risk is too great. And we definitely can't afford to put Coley there

The Bruce injury hurts because he probably would've been the guy by mid season. As of now, we are going to have to ride Berrios until next season.

Malek young should be back there. He returned over 10 kicks his last 2 years in highschool

He's the most sure handed player on the team and also the smartest. Sometimes it's better to play it safe. Funny to even type that considering we are 7 days removed from him housing one.

Yeah saw Berrios turn on the turtle speed and all I could think of is that we have at least 10 guys that would be better.

I will leave it to CMR to decide who should be out primary punt returner over some of the the clowns on this board.

Try Homer

I'd like to see this but the only concern there is fumbles. He runs very loose with the ball.

First, that is always a concern on a return.

Second, you mean the one fumble? He hardly has any carries, how can you see/say fumbles?

Look at how he runs with the ball. It's loose from his body and not protected well.

His style reminds me a bit of Stevan Ridley, formerly of the Patriots. Electric through the hole with the arms flailing and the ball loose. This caused Ridley a lot of problems in the NFL, but Homer obviously has a ton of time to correct it.

Hopefully Thomas Brown is able to get him to protect the ball better by the time he's getting meaningful snaps at RB.

Berrios is too ******* slow. He can't hit corners for ****. Arguably our worst returner in over 35+ years.

Dorsett was much worse as far as not being a good punt returner. Not talking abouT his speed obviously though

You think Berrios is a better PR than Dorsett? Stop posting.

Dorsett was a horrible punt returner, 25 punt returns in his career at Miami and only averaged 5.3 per return... Come on now...he had HORRIBLE lateral quickness despite his blazing speed. And was not elusive at all...

Put the fullback Marquez Williams back there and he might kill someone if he gets a running start.

I'd rather see Elder, Bruce or Young back there for punts, anyway.

Perhaps they're protecting Elder, Bruce is out and I don't know if Young is even getting reps back there.

Berrios has some speed; but I prefer return guys with breakaway speed like we usually have at Miami. Those guys aren't nearly as likely to get tripped up from behind like Berrios did on one of the returns - and there was some space in front of him for a decent return on that one.

He should be in the rotation of return guys; he just shouldn't be the only guy doing returns. I'm not quite sure why he's the only one at this point, but I sure hope to see Young back there at some point this season - and Bruce if he returns from the injury.

He just does not have it.
