Bernie Kosar - UM G.O.A.T

Wow a lot fo that interview is heartbreaking. Bernie talking about having traumatic brain injury, and all the concussions and seizures and the doctor giving him 5 years of cognitive brain function. Its very sad how much many football players have sacrificed for their sport/livelihood and our entertainment.

The irony of football is the game is so much safer now, yet players are making 100x more the revenue than the guys who paved the way getting their bodies brutalized. I’ve had the privilege of talking to many former NFL players, some legends, some guys who just had a nice, long career. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t love their era, & getting smoked & continuing to play was a badge of honor. The only hint of bitterness? Seeing these guys make the $$ w/o half the sacrifice.

this interview is a must watch! Kosar's humanity and humility are rare. here's a guy that's was beat to living **** as a player, ripped off by his own father, has had innumerable health and cognitive issues and he endures and prospers. there are many great stories that emerge from the interview, including how Morrall and Schnellenberger not only allowed but encouraged him to change calls at the line of scrimmage and the confidence both of them instilled in him.

Great points. How about the NFL finally allowing players to use marijuana when they have been over prescribing narcotic painkillers for the past 70 years.

Roy is a POS. He used to pop on to the canesport boards from time to time. He would have terrible takes where he would suck off Manny Diaz and Al Golden. He would always be hammered. People would call him out on his "facts" that were off the charts stupid and incorrect and he would disappear for another month or so. Cabernet Roy was his nickname back in the day.

@JBCanes-NC @stevehick @Dr.L.ThugU @FlatlandCane can confirm
You sound but hurt

Bernie's interview is great, but watch the Luis Cristobal one and Jim Kelly's daughter's interview, both with Roy Firestone. ****, the entire series is wonderful.
