Benchmark for 2021 change

We all know how reactionary Miami and their BOT are, but I was curious to get a consensus as to what level of failure is needed to ensure Manny is gone. We would all love BJ to be fired and replaced with any experienced football focused AD but I won’t hold my breath.

I have to believe 7-5 is our ceiling, so does this group think 6-6 is enough for Manny to be fired?

Missing a bowl game would do it. Being knocked out of the ACCCG race by should do it but probably won't. 6-6/7-5 with another crappy bowl blowout loss should also do it.
 
UNC laying 50 on us will do it. Especially considering what we could look like on a short week against UVA the game before. Drop those 2 and he’s definitely done.

Beat UVA and give up a good chunk against UNC again I think it’ll take 1 more loss somewhere on the schedule to do it.

Ideally UVA and UNC take care of us in back to back games and put us out of our misery.
 
I think 6-6 gets Manny to year 4. We’d need to win 4 or 5 for him to get fired, IMO.
 
Lose to UVA
Lose to UNC (blowout probably)
Should be the end for Manny
But I see us losing to PITT for sure and maybe even NCSTATE the week before with how we are playing and that would be the end to Manny
I hope it only takes the UVA lose and UNC blowout because this needs to be over in 4 weeks instead of 6 weeks
 
If Mario is the guy and Manny loses bad to UVA and UNC I doubt he makes it past that weekend.

You can’t wait until the end of the season and come crawling to Mario. USC will have him either in the bag or extended by Oregon by then.
 
Agree with most everything discussed so far….

My bet is we lose to FSU and that is the nail in the coffin, but hope it comes sooner
 
with how the team has played and the play calling in these past 3 games, along with Don and Rivers out for the season, who do you see us beating outside of CCSU???

It's impossible to figure out a W-L "firing point" for Manny, particularly now that we are getting hit with key injuries.

If it was possible to use "empty seats" as a reason to fire Blake (without hearing the inevitable "oh, but all those 100/200 level seats have club access, so they're all inside the air conditioning"), I would say that we could expect an ACTUAL attendance of 20,000 for CCSU and UVa.

But things like actual attendance, merch sales, and food/beverage revenue tend to lag and wouldn't be factored in (if at all) for months. I wish that we could get some drone footage of the stadium, just showing row after row of empty seats. In high-def.
 
This team is coached by manny diaz lmao you don’t do have to worry about us winning too many games. Literally not going to be an issue. We suck
 
We've had 7 or less wins 9 out of our last 15 seasons.

I understand wanting better results - but it's surprising a 7 win season seems to be taking so many people off guard.

players that keep making all the mistakes,yll who I'm talking about, won't win another game!! other than cast! the coastal is alot better than mich st n app st.

You know, mathematically, my Cardinals can still win the NL-Central.

And, mathematically, Manny can get us to 13-2.

Jesus Christ himself would have to play both ways and call his own plays at QB for this to happen


Abd Manny Diaz would try to sell the public on the possibility of it
 
No worries this free fall of a season is still going up…. Whatever benchmark needed for Manny to get fired will be reached.

I see one guaranteed win this weekend, and a likely win vs Duke. That’s 3. The other games are toss ups at best.
