USC has a better QB, better WR's, better OL, better D Line, better LB's ---- that is the difference
You still don't get it. USC actually cares about winning and have an AD willing to fight for his program (literally). It all starts at the top and USC is committed to winning and not just in football. Think about it, when was the last time Miami was relevant at something consistently? The answer is not very much since Donna has taken office (women's tennis is traditionally good for a Sweet 16 appearance if not better.)

Talk about irony. The USC boards were flooded for years with posts and threads ridiculing Pat Haden for meekly succumbing to the NCAA. I'm not even sure why I'm using past tense. Those posts have been there very recently. Haden is mocked for being a weakling while USC fans and alumni in those threads were incredibly jealous of Donna Shalala and her forceful comments during our troubles, often placing the NCAA on the defensive. USC fans despised Paul Dee but were envious of Shalala. They want all USC administrators to display an attitude similar to Mike Garrett's parting shot when the NCAA report was released, "I read between the lines and there was nothing but a lot of envy, and they wish they all were Trojans."
Naturally the early wins this season will deflect the animosity toward Haden but don't pretend it hasn't been there.
As a USC alum who watched most of that game before departing for Sun Life yesterday, I absolutely loved two teams with classic uniforms battling in an incredibly physical low scoring game. The I get into our stadium and see a ridiculous dark on dark orange color scheme. We just don't get it.
Again with this bull****?I agree - tired of hearing we have talent and I just dont see it
a coach like butch davis would turn EVERYONE into monsters.

Garrett ****ed USC...they got x2 the sanctions because of his attitude. he simply would not cooperate with the ncaa.
And don't forget USC was a multi-sport violator...bush, oj mayo (basketball) and some volleyball scandal. Hence the dreaded "lack of institutional control".
True that most SC fans hated haden basically bowing down to the ncaa. But look where they are now. They are coming out of the scholly losses, ranked, etc. Very thin. lots of walk-ons....but give them credit...they weathered the storm.
I would submit if they get many more injuries it will kill them...but i tip my hat. Recipe for getting out of sanctions...they appealed...to delay it for a year, then moved all of their schollies around to accommodate the limit. Let kids go. Made sure they knew who could enroll early so they could control what years they were under. it was pretty impressive how they managed it.
Balls move by Hayden to fire kiffin mid-season. Respect for that...seems like a good call now.
Fvck anyone that doubts.

What's the selection committee?
