Beck with a dry ball

I had a dry ball once. Doctor gave me an ointment and it cleared right up.
@Headhunter please explain…

He was the least accurate on the throws late in the game when our park the bus play calling would get him out of rhythm and let his tired surgically repaired elbow tighten up.

We need to keep him in rhythm and keep his elbow loose, meaning run the offense and don't deviate until you'd be comfortable putting in Emory.
So never to the last …..

Beck grew up in Florida… how can he struggle so much throwing a wet ball?

It’s not like he was raised in the Sahara Desert.
He had reconstructive surgery less than 10 months ago.

As I explained after the UF game, you grip a ball differently that’s wet than dry. He’s been practicing since summer in an indoor practice facility, so he has to acclimate his muscle memory to his release point, a little differently in wet conditions.

He will be fine, but he needs more reps in wet conditions, to get comfortable in them again.

I told people before the game that if it did not rain he would be fine. 20/27 and 4TD. Played very very well. His deep ball looked great as well and now he is rightfully #1 in the heisman odds.
Bruh his throws were flawless on that td pass to baby jesus and the deep ball to daniels - should be talked about more. Painting pictures

And the one Malachi missed was another amazing throw..

This… is a wide eye view of Beck. But, Carson is a veteran QB, smart enough to know how to adapt and evolve. I just wish the coaches had more faith in his judgment to run the offense. Athletes are in tune with there bodies. And, establishing a rhythm and repetition. But, it’s a two way street.🙌🏽

I don't know if this is true, but I read that his hand size is a little small, so when the ball gets wet it's' harder for him to grip than guys with bigger hands.

Beck played very well against FSU. But I firmly believe we're about to see an entirely different level from him. As you note, he needed more reps with his receivers. 5 games and 2 bye weeks give him those reps. Plus IIRC that throwing arm was only truly healed to where he was cleared to whip it on a rope in August. Plus he's going to be facing weaker defenses that are going to sell out to stop the run. Plus Trader will be folded in. Lots of reasons to believe Beck is going to have a dominant back 7 to close out the regular season.

He proved me wrong. I can't remember the last time one of our QBs threw 3 flawless deep balls in a game....it was probably a 2016 Brad Kaaya game.

Did you go on an off-grid retreat between September and December 2024? Meditating with the monks in Nepal or perhaps Meteora, Greece?

The flea flicker was obviously a thing of beauty but the other Toney touchdown pass was an underrated masterpiece. He saw the coverage and hit Toney in the seam with perfect accuracy. He didn’t have to slow down or adjust to the ball. Just catch it on the run and run away from everyone.

I thought you were releasing HIPAA information and was about to wish him well in his treatment plan.

He actually led Toney up field. Toney was about the stop.

He's in Miami, plenty of fish in the sea to get his fingers wet
