Beck ESPN

The narrative around Beck is interesting. His stats were very similar to Nussmeier, but the pundits really like Nussmeier. Same conference, similar number of big games, but a totally different perception.
One plays for LSU and the other plays for Miami, was dating a Cavinder twin, drives a Lambo, etc.

Cam Ward was labeled a turnover machine with small hands before he went out and became the 1st overall pick.

I'm not saying Beck is Jayden Daniels but to see people calling the guy a statue and that he "can't move" is downright crazy.

Cam averaged like under a yard per carry at Washington State. At Miami, he averaged 3.4 yards and rushed for 200 yards doubling his yards/game here. Cam isn't considered dual threat really but people credit him for his ability to extend plays and pick up big chunks on the ground when needed. I think Beck will be viewed similarly.

I'm actually excited to see what Beck can do on the ground with our OL. He's certainly not going to be called a dual threat guy but he is going to pick up some big gains similar to Cam last year.

How many of those Int's were a product of Bobo and not having guys get open as well as one of hte worst GA OL's in recent years.

Sure some were his fault and he could have made a better decisions. But a few I'm willing to bet were much more on the WR's/Skill guys.

ND basically dared Stockton to beat them with his arm and/or the WR's to make a play.

It didnt happen and they couldnt run the ball. So maybe the issue was much bigger than GA fans like to believe. New QB same results.

We get to see the tush push Sunday night?

It’s this stretch he was pretty bad last year. You hope it’s the combination of what’s been discussed here with weak WR room etc.

He did have 10 TDs / 12 INTs against these teams. Went 4-2 but not great. The UF/TX game especially.
It’s still crazy considering his WORST 5 game stretch in 25 straight starts was 300YPG and 65% completion vs 5 SEC teams.

Even crazier when you realize he didn’t have an INT in his other 8 games.

The OL should be the differentiator for Beck's performance. Barring he doesn't get the yips like TVD, we will be good. As already mentioned, Beck often forced the ball in tight windows. Vs ND, Beck may have to force some throws, but hopefully very limited amounts.

Trumpycane loves his all these experts don’t mention how awful Mike Bobo is

He made Matt Stafford look mid

Beck's teammates on Greentree love playing FOR him. You will see that on Sunday.

I know DMoney talks about the coaches having confidence in the team, but I don't think it can be overemphasized how much confidence the players have in this team, and what they have the ability to do this year.

Sunday can't get here soon enough.

They said Cam Ward was a turnover machine also. They were wrong.
