Don’t agree with the OP but there is a narrative circulating (both nationally and locally) that Beck is suffering from a minor injury or has a “dead arm.” In other words, he has lost velocity due to fatigue from overuse.

I don’t think he’s injured and there is zero chance Mario or any member of the staff will confirm this condition; however, the dead arm theory is an interesting hypothesis. He started throwing late in the year and probably had to accelerate his integration with the WRs, etc. causing him to throw a ton just prior to fall camp. Again, it’s just speculation by media but it’s plausible. The extra rest from the bye week will do him some good.
