Beck’s 2nd INT Yesterday

To my untrained eye, it looked like there were 2 WRs in the same spot so I am guessing it was a bad route by one of them.

Anybody else see that or was it just me?

The pass was for Johnson not Toney. Beck said he didn’t expect Toney to have a 50 inch vertical.

Would love to see the all 22 to see if Johnson was open. Looked like a safety was over the top either way.

If Beck protects the ball against Florida Miami should be ok. Florida has talent but it’s not clicking for them on offense so don’t give them short fields to work with

From what I recall Johnson had his guys beat.

That was absolutely the case. The second interception wasn’t on Beck. The first one was but the second wasn’t.

Beck was putting the ball between the corner and the safety for Johnson. I don’t think the safety had a play on the ball but it could have been a big hit coming.

Beck made the right read on the first INT also. CJ was open but the contact took something off the ball.

Looked like both had open WRs on the play. First one Beck got hit as he threw with the free delayed blitzer coming in. Wasn't able to step into the throw. 2nd one had a window between the CB and safety for Johnson but tipped by Toney.

It was hard to tell because I was there, and I didn’t look up to see the replay, but Toney definitely tipped the ball. When I get a chance, I’ll watch the actual replay on the game replay, but from where I was sitting it did look like Johnson was open.

I don’t think the spacing was designed that way. Toney made a freshman mistake. Bad route out the gate.
