Beat Pitt

Weather will be in the 20's especially if it is a night game. Miami needs to play well and if so and limits or has no turnovers we should win. Pitt's freshman QB Heintshel is good but he is not mobile so we should be able to match up with our ferocious pass rush.

I think we match up well with pitt.

Does anyone know if OJ is coming back this season?

anyone that went to the Pitt game in 2003(our Big East finale) will tell you that was the coldest day of their lives. It certainly was for me. No lie, I have never really felt THAT cold since that particular weekend in Steel City. There's something about being in 12 degree weather for a day or two that toughens you up

my question is just how healthy is UM going to be? All hands need to be on deck for this one...

I would say the only kid I expect to be out is Scott. TBD on Jakobe Thomas. But OJ, Blay, and Daniels seemed ready to go, I think they were held out to be sure for next week. At least that’s what I’m hoping for.

If it’s only Scott and the rest of these kids are a go, I think we’ll be fine.

What’s your guess on a line? I say Miami -4 to open.

I was at the 2003 game too it was maybe 10 degrees. Miami rose up and played very well and shut down Larry Fitzgerald and co. It was a great night. Hopefully it will be a repeat of that night next Saturday Nov 29. Go canes!

If not for the weather, miami would probably be a 7 point Favorite at least. I think we win by 10 or so.

and there was a bit of a breeze, lol. I still recall that Pitt drove on the Miami defense to start the game with a TD, and then the NFL talent on Miami just took over till the end of the game when Coker called off the dogs and let in a late TD to Fitzgerald that kept alive his TD streak

Some of the defense player parents were ****ed when that happened, lol.

The weather will not impact the line at all. Vegas doesn’t dock teams for it being 40 degrees. Now, will we play a certain way because it’s cold? We’ll see. But I promise you the number isn’t being spit out at -7, for example, and they adjust if because it’s cold. That doesn’t happen.

Yes that is exactly how it went down. Sean taylor, antrel rolle, wilfork, DJ williams, vilma, and co dominated the whole game.

If it's 25 degrees, Pitt's players will be Hugh freezing their asses off too.

Daniels played

My bad. I missed him. That’s good though, I thought they held him out too. Great news. All hands on deck next week.

If Thomas, Blay, and OJ are all a full-go, we’re gonna smack the **** out of that offense.

And with the way Dawson is finally calling games and the confidence we’ve gotten the last 3 weeks, I expect us to score 30+. Might come back to bite me in the ***, and this was fool’s gold playing high school teams, but I think that’s reasonable. I don’t think they’re getting 30 on our fully healthy defense minus Scott.

The run game is still broken. He went from no outside runs to too many jet sweeps. Still doesn’t call pass on second and short. Every time Beck picks up a blitz and audibles it’s a run up the gut. Even with the changes I’m unimpressed.

I didn’t say it was great. There’s just a lot more variation. More things to prepare for. A hint of creativity. I don’t think we’re dropping 40-50 on real teams, but the mix of talent and scheme can get 30 on Pitt. Admittedly, we have played 3 HORRIBLE defenses in a row. And we didn’t go berserk in any of them offensively. So I might just be high as **** right now. I just think the way it is rolling, I’d be surprised to see us sitting with 13 points midway through the 3rd quarter.

My only ***** about the offense now is we aren’t really giving guys like Josh Moore more shots outside on 50-50 balls

Teams are doubling/bracketing Toney and still loading the boxes it’s a numbers thing that means guys like Moore, Daniel’s, Marion, or Upshaw are one on one with no safety help when their opposite of Toney.

Perfect example was the gotta have it 4th down conversion to Upshaw that converted. It’s there go to the well and burn teams to drop back that safety and lighten then box and watch the run game explode
