Beason excited about Canes...gives his perspectives on QB choices

Y’all couldn’t start this argument in 1 of the 194628 other threads with ppl hating on 1 QB or the other?

“Getting the opportunity to bring in a former head coach, a guy coming out of the Alabama system. It’s really going to be on his shoulders because play-calling collegiately is what separates teams defensively and offensively. The ability to utilize our skill players and kind of cover up our lack of depth and our overall talent on the offensive line, and then allow our defense to continue to be dominant should be a great recipe for the Canes this year.”

So can Beason be our AD? Has more knowledge on his pinky than that shrimp wad Flake will ever learn in a lifetime.

id bring beason as an assistant in some role if hes open to it. im okay with richt as an AD. he can def get people to open up their pocket books but i doubt he cares for that job

Excited about this... "Beason will be a studio analyst for the new ACC Network for this upcoming season."

That was a fantastic interview. Look forward to hearing more from him.

90% of our black fanbase want Kosi. That is pretty clear. Whether on here or twitter you'll find about 1 out of every 10 has Tate as their favorite.

As far as what Beason said, he just reiterated the reports that came out of spring practice. He said Kosi looked the best way to for 15 min in practice. We all know that. Tate's trajectory starting with the best spring game until fall camp has been the best out of any of the QBs.

I am one of the black fans that want Kosi to win the competition, but not because he is black.

I want Kosi to redeem himself and prove how much of our struggles have been due to terrible coaching.

Him having a big year and throwing 65% and 25-30 touchdowns with under 8 turnovers would put some of the over emphasis on star rankings and “talent” to bed.

I have argued with a lot of fans that want to blame losses to the likes of Duke and Uvag on talent. For years we have had guys that showed flashes of making what they were good at obvious but coaches would try to force them to be something they are not and we would lose games. I get tired of people complaining about recruiting like they are surprised big time players don’t want to come here when we completely waste the guys we do sign.

Kosi winning the job and playing well would prove we really are The New Miami.

Still, Martell is electric and even if Kosi beats him out, I don’t want Martell rotting on the bench. The guy can still help us win games.

Matters to me because I want to see what the young man can do. Love it or hate it, he has a stamp of approval from Urban Meyer. I guess you CIS experts can trump what Urban says right?!? I think not.
No we cant trump what Urban says, but when it comes to the Canes, Enos and Diaz can. May the best man win!!!

Lmao nah man I can succumb to the BS

Start at pg4. You'll love it.

How tf did i miss that? It explains all the tate shît with him now.

What I'm really concerned about is if JW doesn't win. He's been the most polished pure passer QB since he's arrived on campus. He's probably gotten better under Enos. If he doesn't win, he goes off and becomes a really good QB for another power 5 AFTER he's been molded by UM...

That’s what I hate about all the guys being young.

I think Jarren is gonna be a beast his junior year.

I just don’t see how we can keep him if he doesn’t win the job with the guys ahead of him being sophomores.

If they were seniors or juniors, we could probably convince him to be patient.

we always get the UM fans arent racist then a poster has to bring race into the **** QB battle. smh

You know its funny about the race thing... This is just from my perspective and could be waaaaayyyyy off base.

When I saw people calling for Cade Weldon to get a shot last year after multiple suspensions, I didn't know why they kept bringing his name up but I definitely didn't see this much pushback. What I saw were a lot of, "If Cade can stop smoking and stay focused on the game, I believe he is our answer at QB." I wished him all the best and if he was good enough to start here that would've been great. The kid ended up at some school with East in front of the name.

A couple of seasons ago we had fans claiming that Patchan was our best DE because they saw him get off against FSU on one play. Joe Jackson came in as a true freshman and performed, Garvin did the same thing... But people were calling for Patchan to start because "he hadn't been healthy..." We also saw that he wasn't as good as those guys.

During the midst of Brevin Jordan putting on a show last year and Mallory not doing much even before the injury, we still got a lot of "I can't wait to watch Mallory next year. He'll be even better." Mallory was behind Brian Pollendy on the depth chart and people were dying to see him play.

The Tate thing is more of the same. White fans want any white kid with a modicum of talent to get the opportunities, to play, and if possible to be the face of the program. Its so sad because they want to give these kids opportunities that they haven't earned. I guess this is another case of affluenza (<--- click link for information).

Its perpetuated when you give non-deserving/entitled people things because they are already "successful" in other areas of life. I hope none of you are hiring managers at your job because you'd probably do a number on your companies bullsh!t "Diversity and Inclusion" initiative.

If he is the best, let him earn it. If N'Kosi (whose name means Superior/Chief in Zulu, by the way) gets beat out by a better player then that's fine. But lets not pretend that we wouldn't be supportive of Cade Weldon if he were still here.

FYI, I too believe that Mallory has NFL talent and could realistically develop into a higher rated draft prospect than Brevin based on his size, speed, and other measurables. But I don't think he is in any way, shape, or form going to be a better player than Brevin while at the University of Miami. If he is, there is no defense in the country that can defend our offense.

People like people they can relate too. I am the same way and see no problem with it.

I only have a problem with how narratives change for guys who do similar things. Every poster isn’t biased but you can see how there is a trend of racial bias on both sides. It is a bit stronger on the white side though. I don’t think they realize they are doing it most of the time.

It happens like that a lot in America. Just have to be more self aware, regardless of skin color.

Im not offended but apparently somebody is LMAO. You a fanboy and theres no need to justify "it is what it is"

Your an idiot dude. Just because your brain comes up with **** and then convinces you that its right doesnt mean it is. That fact that your completely overlooking that Tate is the only guy we haven't seen before and the guys we have seen before are dog **** means you purposely one siding an argument just so you can bash some dude. Tate is the only guy that we dont know sucks. If Perry is the starter expect that same as last year.
