Golden likes fast food. According to Kaaya, Golden chooses an interesting metaphor for his players during team meetings: "Be a McDonald's cheeseburger. A McDonald's cheeseburger is the same. Everyone buys it because it's consistent. It's the same thing every time. It's always good, tastes the same way. Be a cheeseburger."

Suicide Watch
We ought to be thinking about poor Goldie's mental health. Who among us could stand up to the onslaught of negative karma that he is subject to. If he isn't on a suicide watch, he surely will be soon.

He's been dangling from a noose for days, almost begging to be fired, arms and legs flailing in the breeze. The BOT needs to do him a favor for the "cloud" that he endured. They need to be merciful, and give him his buyout.

His blood will not be on my hands, but the BOT's.

Did F A G actually say this?

Do you not realize the McDonald Cheeseburger is one of the toughest material ever made. Have you not seen the video of the cheeseburger being left out in the open and nothing changed? It does not decay

It sucks from the beginning. Its not something you actually want.

His emails to players are far, far more questionable in nature. They've been talked about here repeatedly.

He's running out of motivational material so he's just making stuff up at this point.

What's funny is his catch phrases sometimes get mixed up by the players. Artie burns used the phrase "unit beats diversity" on hurricane hotline. But later on in the week you come to find several players using the phrase "unity beats adversity." The players just repeat the **** without believing it and it sounds so insincere and manufacturered when they say it.

Clearly he came up with this when he and D'No were chowing down on a pile of cheeseburgers.

Golden: "You know something, babe? There is a motivational message somewhere here in all this opulence."

D'No: "Drrrrrrrrr! I can has another cheeseburger!"

Golden: "Sure, babe. Let me cut it up for you."

This is a lot like the stuff players have personally told me in the past. It f'in freaks me out. Because Golden isn't wrong to try to get the players to learn stuff like this and understand how to make it work, but his approach is SO OFF that it lacks any kind of authenticity and therefore has almost no chance of getting genuine buy-in.

Your job is take these concepts and package them in a way players can relate to, Coach. For the love of God.

Lu, I also have heard kids from other schools talk in similar fashion. I'm not saying the approach should work with the Miami kids, but I think it's more generational than anything else. We live in a #hashtag world, but to your point, there's a difference between giving kids cute catchphrases that encapsulate what you're trying to teach and the actual substance behind those teachings.

It's not the bad of an analogy when you think about it. Of course if you put your biases aside...

McDonald's is low end crap. Regardless of the point F A G is trying to make, he is flailing because he's telling his team to be like consistent low end crap.

It's a terrible analogy. The message of uniformity and consistency might be a good message. The analogy is ****. Far better examples.
