I don't care if Minnesota squeaked by, they won. Meanwhile, they also beat a FAR higher ranked team than 'Bama would have. A big win like that should count for a **** of a lot more than margin of victory against weaker teams, and the 'Bama name.

So if Bama was beating tenn, mizzu, miss st by 3..you’d have no problem with that?? I would definitely hold it against them..Let’s be real..who you beat matters. Also so how you beat them matters too. How good is penn st really? You find that out when they play OSU..Bama beats AU then that’s a better win than PSU imo

Perfect example is 'Bama being in the top 4, above Penn State the same week that Clemson was put below Penn State...based on the supposed argument that Clemson hadn't done anything this year, hadn't looked impressive, and Penn State had better wins. Meanwhile, 'Bama hadn't done anything yet this year, hadn't looked impressive, and Penn State had better wins, but of course Penn State didn't jump 'Bama.

I wouldn't care about that relative to the best wins. Many teams play down to lesser opponents, then beat top opponents. Bottom line is in that scenario, 'Bama beating lowly opponents by bigger margins than Minnesota beating lowly opponents is nowhere near as important as Minnesota having a FAR bigger win than 'Bama. Now, of course, you claim Auburn would be a bigger win than Penn State...based on...what?....Auburn wearing an SEC patch? You are completely bought into the SEC worship.

no based on everybody knowing AU is a quality opponent and top 15 team..penn state is about to be a two loss team..might lose to Iowa st too

So Penn State "is about to be a two loss team" and "might" lose to Iowa State.....but you think Auburn is great despite being a two loss team already, barely skating by a crappy Ole Miss team (only 6 pt win, since you are big on criticizing for not blowing out bad teams), beating a weak 3-loss Texas A&M team by only 8 points, and likely has two more losses coming.....but Auburn is a quality top 15 opponent? Again, clearly because they are in the SEC....as that seems to be justification enough for you.

I’m SPECIFICALLY talking about FSU being put over Miami in the National Championship game by the computer.

****, even ESPN’s “College Football 150 years” special JUST said that the BCS was a fine model UNTIL 2000, in which FSU was chosen over Miami, a team that beat them in the regular season, and the ONLY team to beat the #1, #2 teams and left out. Also, they argued that since Miami beat the #1, #2, and #6 team in the nation, based upon the BCS metrics, Miami should’ve been at least co champions. which brings the same flaw to the 2003 BCS co-champions which were USC & LSU. The BCS was supposed to eliminate co-champions, and that’s exactly what it did in 2003 w SC & LSU.

The BCS was horrible and the trend started w us, ironically.

They're 4-5 against the spread. Worst of any team in the top 10. You literally have no idea what you're talking about

I think their record and their play this season is definitely better than what Auburn has shown. You apply all of these reasons why Penn State isn't very good....then ignore all of the same...and more, about Auburn while proclaiming them to be better.

Yeah, I think everyone understood that when you're talking about taking the lead, it means when the game is on the line. But I love the fact that you had to pounce on a technicality. It solidifies my already-rock solid case.
