Baylor

It's I pay ten a year as in $10. It's their hurricane club. Obviously it raises more than us but not the numbers you are throwing out.

ITPAY started in 1936 when 10.00 a year was serious money. They are obviously not paying 10.00 a year now. While I erred on the 10,000 a year (that was what their boosters told me the expectation was) they are raking in at least 38 million or more each year. Add that to the ACC money and that is some serious cash. So recruit comes to town and they have serious money to sway the commit. The question in my mind has always been with such a huge amount of money, what else does it fund? This is the reported money. How much unreported money also comes into that program? Why do black players want to go to a place that is a college that was the worst civil war prison location over other more desirable locations in the country? It is just curious to me.

I don't know about Baylor's money situation but let me tell you about Clemson. My brother married a woman from there and I was there for the wedding. I kept seeing these IPTAY bumper stickers and asked about it. I Pay Ten Thousand a Year is what IPTAY means. Apparently there are 17,000 people who do that every year. So I broke out the calculator and multiplied 17,000 times 10,000 a year. 170 million a year in funds donated to Clemson athletics. http://www.iptaycuad.com/ I doubt UM has 170 million donated to UM athletics. It is hard to compete with that type of funding.

But I thought Blake James was good at fundraising and that's why he couldn't be fired?

ITPAY is for all athletics not just football.
