Baylor has money and Dawson isn't getting any younger, not to mention his offense would fit right in with the B12 style of play.

if we had to replace Dawson I would be looking at the current OC for Oregon State and also their QB for the portal. they are lighting it up

Truth be told I didn’t read the thread.

Bottom line.

If you were a fan of a mid college football program how would you feel about hiring Shannon Dawson as your head coach? Good OC but does anyone think teams are lining up with a brinks truck to grab him?

I don’t want to lose him but if we do I’m confident we will be ok.
 
I could be wrong, but I think Baylor's OC Spavital comes from Dawson's tree. This may be an issue for Dawson if he covers this job. They should consider the interim HC Klanderman who i believe has done a good job in Waco and who has a nice resume from his Kansas State and North Dakota State days.
 
This entire thread is just confusing to me. I guess people still aren't used to the fact that we're doing juuuust fine as a program.

Of course our coordinators are going to leave soon. It'd be absurd to suggest something otherwise. We're the number one team in the country. If other coaches and programs wouldn't want our assistants, something would be terribly wrong.

Dawson is 49. There's a strong chance he's coached his second #1 pick in the NFL draft in the past three seasons. There's very little need to interview from his personal view, the offers will come on their own.
