Honestly can't remember the last time I was this excited about our defense. We have a buffet of savages across the board!

I wonder if Jackson would be a stud at FS... I think with speed, tackling ability and his grasp of the defense, he probably would've been a better fit to play both S/CB!!

I thought last season there was a noticeable decline in speed/athleticism with the 2nd group of LB's. I believe a lot of that has been eradicated now...
 
Man the hype for the defense is getting strong, I hope they all remember the lack of recognition at the end of the season and start of this one by most of the national pundits.
 
Constant and consistent competition breeds champions. We have competition all across the board on defense right now (save for maybe DT).

I'm going to have to see Knowles do something on a football field before I get all worked up over him. His athletic ability is off the charts bad.

I'm all in on the improvements. I just find it hard to believe that a guy as limited athletically as Knowles can excel at the marquee P5 level as a Safety. We've seen what guys with no athleticism do at Safety here over the 5 years prior to last season.
