Richt and Miami's media are a perfect fit for one another. Neither are willing to adapt and play the whole give him time and his players.

Richt succeeded when his offense was still prevalent. When times changed, he refused to change which resulted in him having an inconsistent offense since 2013.

We gotta give props to Manny Navarro for calling out Richt's incompetence on offense. His newest article is titled "This isnt hard to figure out-Mark Richt cannot run Hurricanes offense." We need more like him.

Remember when we thought Brad was the problem? Now it’s apparent that he ruined Brad.

I slammed Kayaa, but the fact is he had to deal with some atrocious OL play. Richt’s offense wasn’t doing him any favors until he finally changed it up mid season. We reeled off 5 straight to finish out that season.

GA finished unranked in 4 out of his last 7 years despite all the top 15 recruiting classes and resources out into that program.....he was mediocre at best in his last 7 years (huge sample size)

Ur new here; but partner I like what u bring. These, my fellows, are FACTS. Why are none of the supporters talking about this. Richt has been downhill his last 7 yrs as a coach. Why do u think UGA tried to be respectful to him as a coach but force his hand to hire an OC and pull for Pruitt to come over to help w the D? Richt likes comfort, and that doesn’t cut it as a coach!

I knew he underachieved at UGA but holy **** ...is this legit?

This. Let's hope Manny continues to call out this incompetence.

He buys into the "it worked at Georgia, give it more time" position that I never got. Georgia didn't ever play for, much less win, a national title while Richt was there and he didn't win a conference title in his final decade at Georgia. His system simply has not succeeded for a very long time. And it has **** near died over the last full season (mid last year until now).

I don't want to bash Richt, and I don't take pleasure in it, but facts are facts.

I think they forced Richt to give up play calling, now we see why!

Forget the fact that Richt never appeared in a national championship game or that he only ever came close to appearing in one once in his 15 years in UGA, we never were going to hire a championship contending coach to begin with and Richt was never really sold as one (by the non sluprers anyways).

The probelm with Richt's tenure at UGA and why he deserves NO cushion at all is that he perennially underperformed for the last 10 years with UGA.

A coach doesn't desesrve a cushion if he finished 25 - 40 against top 25 teams his last 10 years with a team
or if he only won two conference championships throughout his entire tenure there
or had a losing record against UF
or couldn’t make the SEC championship game with Matt Stafford, AJ Green, and Knowshon Moreno
or finished unraked 4 of his last 7 years with a talented team

Richt's UGA record should give him ZERO benefit of the doubt. How in the ******* world are people spinning this otherwise?

Barry knows football like Pastor Richt runs efficient 2-minute drills at the end of games against an at the time 1-3 ACC foe in Puke.

Kaaya was the original Richt scapegoat. Richt is a guy who's well past his expiration date

Put aside the conference title he won first year at UGA with inherited players, and he’s got 1 conference title in past 17 seasons across SEC and ACC.

He never was inside of his expiration date. He’s just a church talking nice guy former QB who looks the part and got 1000 chances because he didnt fail too badly at UGA. There is no reason to think he’s particularly good at any aspect of coaching. Doesn’t hire great staff, cannot scheme or game plan or play call, mediocre and lazy recruiter, doesn’t seem to even care if he wins.

His biggest qualification is for UM is that he backed up Jim Kelly

We really got stuck with a lemon
