They are the ones on the field - Beck has been handcuffed. It's obvious they are all frustrated. The defense literally quit after the offense failed to score in OT. I'm sure that was born of frustration, too.

It's put up or shup up time for Mario. Lighten up and let the offense play. IDK if Dawson is capable of making the offense what the fan base would like but he has shown over the years he can dial up a few plays every game. It's time to do it. Make the offense fun again.

And something has to be done about the OL and the pre snap penalties. This has NEVER been an issue before this season. It's not even just one player - it's across the board. You have to start having some sort of repercussions for this. Sit the guy a series or two. Who cares at this point. You cannot continue to give away 40+ yards every game.

IDK if the staff doesn't trust Beck or if it's also distrust of the WR room. I know they talk a good show about "feeling good about the room". Yet the lack of substitution from that room says something different. That muffed catch that turned into an interception was not Carson's fault. It was squarely on JoJo. It seemed to shut down the down field passing game .....

I've heard Pete say a few times there are defensive players who are refusing to sub off the field. Who? Why? Bain?

If they came in and made the playoffs won the conference, none of that would matter. What’s the point of Mario accumulating **** loads of talent just to lose to inferior teams

I think at the moment, he has to look at what he's doing and think man oh man this is not working........ the worst part of his offense is having to watch it. it's mind numbingly boring......he gets up and wants to go into a shell pound the rock even vs, 8-9 man front.........anyway I can hope .... right

I think you are overestimating his ability to change when needed and underestimating his stubbornness.

This is a game where we gotta know our personnel. I know Mario likes to try to ground & pound, but it would behoove us to change up our philosophy.

SMU is **** near last against the pass, but are a top 20 defense against the run. Here’s the crux; they also meet at the QB…a lot. 10th in the nation; the bright side? We bolster a top 10 OL in sacks allowed. If we come out w a quick passing game, not those WR screen bull ****, but 3-step back drops & release, we should be able to exploit them at will.

I’m wondering how much autonomy Beck has compared to Ward. As a casual fan, I knew exactly what we were going to run, & just looking at the defensive formations, I knew the success rate would be around the 33-35% range.

If Beck was able to audible, there was a **** ton of yards available. I also find it interesting that Dawson got into it w Mario, & I’m not sure if it was Dawson that approached Mario or if Mario said something to Dawson that caused a response.

Either way it goes, Beck didn’t come here to be a game manager. U don’t pay that type of bread for a Trent Dilfer, u pay that...
