Barry Jackson just made my day

When the decision was made to keep Golden after last season, anyone with a functioning brain knew that this season would be a toxic wasteland and a complete waste of a fourth of these kids' careers. There was never any other possible scenario. And here we are. Players threatening fans on social media. Golden making the most nonsensical statement he's ever made. And the season is only 1/3 of the way over. We'll probably win another game or two. But there's a possibility we lose every remaining game on the schedule. Keeping Golden after 2014 is the most baffling decision made by any major athletic department.

Listen iam just as ****ed off as anyone but i believe the BOT will get it right its so much pressure on them to get it right iam just enjoying the golden decline and after jimbo put another whipping on us again this town will be really heating up but i believe they will get it right and i also think Dr.Frenk will be the person who pulls the trigger to fire AL just a feeling.

I don't. They haven't gotten anything right in over 10 years.

They are the most incompetent board of trustees in all of college football.

They have got nothing right and continue to micro-manage.

I would agree with Canedog on this one. ICE ICE baby! Coley needs to be FIRED this minute with AL and Mark D.

Atleast one of my teams (Liverpool FC) knows when its time to can a loser who is not improving the team and making excuses. You dont wait till the season finish. The attendance will get worst. Plus have enough time to scope every and all candidates before the mad rush in the offseason. Get rid of El Foldo now.

Tom herman

One of a handful of names that has me interested in learning more.

Thursday night Morris v. Herman
The only significant thing that could come out of that matchup is if SMU wins. Herman took over a Houston program in infinitely better shape than SMU. June Jones should have been executed for the shape he left them. Houston should roll. If they don't then we have something.

I know. Houston was in much better shape and actually decent shape. Levine wasn't an awful coach before he got there. Houston's QB (Ward) is actually pretty good, fun player to watch.

If UM and the BoT actually cared about Miami football, Golden would've been fired already.

Not really baffling at all.

Shalala obviously didn't want to ****can Golden and conduct a new coaching search as her last act as president, leaving the incoming president stuck with whatever decision she made. And Frenk needed a year to get himself familiar with the situation and see if Golden was a ****** as everyone thought. Add in the reports that the buyout this year is significantly less than last year.

The timing of everything sucked, but the reasoning as to why he wasn't let go last year was pretty straightforward.

I'm calling bs. This admin HATES the football program and is laughing at the fan base while giving us the finger.

But they love those ACC checks and the money they received from Addidas.

Don't see them moving until after the season, either. One would think the ACC would start putting pressure on these morons to improve the product on the field. We are dragging an already weak conference down by losing to teams like Cincy all the time. God knows we don't bring any academic prestige to the ACC, either. We're only slightly better than FSU or Louisville, and the way our academics are nosediving now, we may soon be worse. This BOT is beyond incompetent in every phase of running this school. They are a disaster.

So let me get this straight, they know Golden is the problem but they won't remove him early based on what? That's idiotic. If cancer is spreading, common sense would say remove the cancer before it kills the patient. Golden is a cancer; kill it before he kills the program. We're already on life support.

I agree with you, but for some reason in college football you rarely see a coach fired in mid season. The quicker you fire him, the quicker we can look for his replacement. UF fired Zook in mid season and landed Meyer before anyone else could.

This. This inept administration is reactive not proactive.

### Yet another reason why UM’s coaching remains justifiably under fire: Miami --- which had recruiting classes ranked 9th, 20th, 12th*and 26th*by Rivals over the past four seasons --- somehow lost to a Cincinnati team whose classes were rated 50th, 71st, 69th*and 57th*those years.

Cincinnati looked like it had comparable talent on Thursday night, and that may will be. But the most prominent recruiting site (Rivals) says there was a big gap in the talent of these players before they arrived on campus...

Al Golden*is likely going to lose his job if he doesn't get this turned around this season, but one high-level Board of Trustee member said in an in-season coaching change would surprise him, barring a total collapse.

That Trustee said it is obvious coaching is the problem, a view shared by several Trustees with whom we've spoken.

Marlins to address pitching, Ozuna situation, other issues; More Dolphins/Coyle criticism; Dolphins, Heat notes; UM/Golden | Sports Buzz

I call big time bull ****. BJ is just another mouth piece for the BOT.

They're trying to calm the noise some. The total collapse happened in 2013 when the team imploded, followed by last season and the **** show that we have witnessed so far this season.

The only university in the country that will allow this crap to happen is located in Coral Gables, FL.

They definitely don't give a crap about public opinion. These elitist live in their own world. To them we are all just uneducated amoebas.

THIS!

Zook was fired after 7 games into the season, after 3 losses. If Golden tanks, I wouldn't doubt he'll be fired mid-season too. Can't think of a coach who's been fired only one loss into a season.

Not only football. Academics and organization are putrid with this bunch.
