### Yet another reason why UM’s coaching remains justifiably under fire: Miami --- which had recruiting classes ranked 9th, 20th, 12th*and 26th*by Rivals over the past four seasons --- somehow lost to a Cincinnati team whose classes were rated 50th, 71st, 69th*and 57th*those years.

Cincinnati looked like it had comparable talent on Thursday night, and that may will be. But the most prominent recruiting site (Rivals) says there was a big gap in the talent of these players before they arrived on campus...

Al Golden*is likely going to lose his job if he doesn't get this turned around this season, but one high-level Board of Trustee member said in an in-season coaching change would surprise him, barring a total collapse.

That Trustee said it is obvious coaching is the problem, a view shared by several Trustees with whom we've spoken.

Excited... but end of season is too long to wait. I'd rather they just rip the band aid off and put an interim in and when coaches hit the market we are the first team there to make the pick we want and give them a good amount of time to finish off a recruiting class.

It's obvious what's going to happen and Al Golden has to know it too. Funny thing is that FSU is not a great team this year and it could be Al's signature win as he's fighting for his reputation now for his next job not this one.

But no matter what,

Firing Day is 58 away.

We hungry. Why wait. Nothing said coaching is a problem like 7 draft picks and 6 wins. Amazing con job to convince people e could be better with less. Those stupid *** trustees are a big part of the problem

Hard to know if this means anything without knowing who he was talking to. From reports there was a small group of Trustees who wanted him out last year. Hopefully this is a different group.

I've felt all along that the BORG wouldn't make a move until after the season, if that. They don't appear to have the cajones, nor do they seem that planful. Frenk is new, he probably doesn't know what's going on with the football program, and James, well, I'd be willing to bet that he doesn't even have a short list of potential replacements in his top drawer yet.
The meme was he deserved another year, and he's getting his year, no matter how bad it gets. A blind man could see that this year had a high probability of going south real fast.

Those in charge of bringing in the football coaches are the root problem. Three misses in a row is quite, quite unacceptable.

Sure, we'll have a new coach soon, but will it be an upgrade? It's hard to get excited about change until we know who the person is...

However, I will admit that it's difficult to fathom just how incompetent the current rubbish is.

It would be nice to see the fool get canned mid-season just to have the media stick it to him even harder. But the admin is very dovish, very soft....

Barry is the top dog in South Florida. He's the guy that Tim Reynolds wishes he could be.

I'm calling bs. This admin HATES the football program and is laughing at the fan base while giving us the finger.

This deserves its own thread. Just like Dan used to do with the preseason countdown
