Barry J. on King & Stubbs

Ferman and now Barry Jackson, who did not cite Ferman as a source. Look, I hope to **** King bucks the trend and comes here, but if LSU and Oklahoma are in the picture - as apparently two different sources are citing - that does not portend well.
Jackson said they are thought to be Miami's main competition. He didn't source anything. He didn't say that he was told that either. In other words there are reports that suggest that OU and LSU could get in the picture. Probably based on nothing other than two prominent schools who have QB questions.

He actually listened to Kelvin Harris’s podcast (his ‘source’). KH lived in Houston for 15 years, knows King’s pops and said LSU would get him if they wanted him but they have 4 stud QBs on the roster already.

I too would take Chase but we still have a good chance. OU has the top rated QB from last year and I’m positive OU will **** him off if they get King. This should be very interesting. LSU has a few top rated QB’s.

Kings not going to come here. We’re leverage for da bag

He's not shopping for a vacation, a label, a cool jersey or a **** bag. The kids wants the League. PERIOD.

He likely will choose the school that provides the best path to the NFL (regardless of how realistic that may be).

At LSU and OU, he'll be competing against top rated, very talented, physically gifted guys running systems they know cold, and certainly better than him. NOT GOOD!!!!! At UM, everyone is starting equal. King would be running a system he knows as well and likely better than any incumbent. Further, the staph has publicly flamed the clowns in the QB room. DO THE MATH. I don't know what Maryland offers, but UM fits the bill if he wants to have a shot at starting. UM is looking for a starter, not depth. And for a kid looking to get to the NFL, everything else is noise.

Does smell like if Oklahoma or LSU offer, he will instantly commit and tell the Miami thank you for a great trip. Sincerely.

Objectively his best shot at improving his NFL stock is go to a team that has high ceiling but low achievement. He can come in and look like he helped turn things around quickly. He also is pretty much assured a starting spot because our qb room is a mess. At places like OU and LSU the ceiling and achievement is already at a high level. They have qb talent ready in the wings so not assured a starting spot. UM would be a low risk high reward opportunity for him.
