Would we be the first fanbase ever to fly a banner against a possible future hire? How much publicity do you think an anti-Cristobal/Strong/Kiffin/etc. banner would get? People like to debate the efficacy of the "Fire Golden" banners but wouldn't a preemptive strike against a potential corch hire definitely poison the well before an overture is even made to a nightmare replacement?

This is the dumbest idea ever. It would make our fan base look absolutely bad. You would be attacking someone that is not connected to the program, may not have an interest in being HC, and may not even be considered to be HC. Totally stupid.

NO I understand the "Fire Golden" banners. Past that, it crosses a line for many reasons.

Nice idea in theory and a majestic sight indeed, it would be as a gigantic middle finger to the vegetables on the BORG. But the BORG would probably respond in kind, i.e., be compelled to do the exact opposite and highly consider someone the fans didn't want. After 3 disastrous hires, if we've learned one thing, it's that the BORG seems to collectively operate like a petulant adolescent who does the minimum on their responsibilities to get by, holds grudges against people who leave for petty reasons, acts entitled and in opposition to what would appear to be in their own, and everyone else's, best interests. I wouldn't put it past the Dukes of Prunes. But that's just me.

Genius

I'm not completely against it. We know for certain that left on their own, the BOT will hire another loser, so it is not a bad idea to let those smucks know we will not take it anymore.

Aside from being a dumb idea, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Need to get rid of the cancer we have first. Baby steps.

I personally think the banners have very little impact. The admin, fully knows the displeasure of the fan base. Flying a banner on whom not to hire, would have zero impact on the next hire.

Great idea.....fire the first shot. I'm behind this 100%. We need to get out ahead of this.

Worst idea ever. Focus on getting rid of Golden not negativity towards a future hire. Why would any coach want to coach a team with fans like that. Damnnn...

No offense...im not the one to knock anybody's opinion but c'mon man. With this BOT, you cant make too many demands. We need Golden gone, Thats It. Replacing him with Butch would be great but to be honest, anybody would be a mf'n upgrade over AG. We already have negativity surrounding the program. We should focus solely on getting rid of AG and trust that after three straight flops, they would finally make the right hire.

This would be a stretch, but really not that much of a stretch! ...since it would simply serve as preemptive strike to what institutions do anyway, but more in the form of purposely dropping the names of prospective hirees/interviewees to gauge the reaction of stakeholders. Here the stakeholders/fans would just be voicing their reaction before the prospective action or before the name dropping.

We need to fly a banner that says

BOT: Butch or Chip Kelly. Thats it. Dont ***** up.
