why do you guys have to put golden into the banners. go after the admin. golden is just a man trying to do his job. This all falls on the admin not him. How do you think his kids and family feel when they see this. Its like having someone come straight up to your face and call you a fcking piece of sh*t while your family is standing there.

Then they should urge him to GTFOH.
What makes you think they aren't? IMO, Golden is gone after this year no matter what the record. If he has even a marginally winning season he will seek greener pastures - and greener pasture is relative. If he doesn't win, he'll be fired. Miami has to be seen as a hostile environment to his family.

Sorry but I don't see it....what on earth makes you think there is another administration, somewhere out there, as clueless and apathetic as ours to hire this guy?

We're stuck with him til they finally decide to fire him. He's not going to have an easy time finding another job after here....his resume is basically a case in point of doing less with more. He's wasted more talent his last 2-3 years than he'll ever likely get at a much smaller school.

Take no chances. Root for losses and keep the banners flying.

Maybe if he had gotten rid of his BFF, this would not have been ...

So he can blame himself for what he has brought on his family.

whats the difference between joe rose or zaslow and joy making fun of goldens post game presser and criticizing the school and these banners that criticize golden? theyre both public displays of criticism and both embarrass the head coach. is it because one is from the fans and the other is from a radio host?

Not much, but the banners as we're undefeated (as we should be) and coming out with the win, sorry, it just looks foolish.

Watch what happens this season. The schedule looks more promising every weekend and this dumbass coach will win 9 games and get another year. The banners will then have done as much as they did last year while Golden keeps getting his stolen money.

Mr Tepid has a ******* selective memory. What about last year's 6-7?

Fly Banner, Fly!

does FSU, VT, Clemson Duke look promising? those are all L's (duke is a maybe)

O
Tell that to the Texas fans. 1 banner = 1 fired Athletic Director

As if that had anything to do with it. Coaching changes and athletic department changes are almost always made for one simple reason, when the real money says "Enough." Joe Jamail says "Patterson or me." and Patterson is gone.

Texas Longhorns fire athletic director Steve Patterson

Interesting excerpt:

Fenves told reporters that Patterson's exit has been in the works for several weeks, but that no one issue or incident led to the move.

"If I had to put it in a nutshell," Fenves said, "we're concerned about our fans and how they view the program."

Patterson's departure came three days after a plane carrying a "Patterson Must Go" banner circled the football stadium before the Longhorns' first home game of the season against Rice.

"Athletics is vitally important to the Longhorn nation," Fenves said in the news release. "For many, athletics is the front door to the university. The excellence and integrity of our program shines a bright light on all we do. Mike Perrin will solidify strong relationships with and among our student-athletes, faculty, students, alumni and coaches, building morale for student-athletes and staff.

I particularly like how you didn't bold the key phrase that "Patterson's exit has been in the works for several weeks..."

Yeah, it was all because of the banner.

Seems to me the overarching issue is the first bolded portion. I also bolded the banner part because, well, this is a thread about banners.

The issue is that you're obviously trying to connect "flying a banner" to the admin "caring about the fans," and subsequently to them taking action to fire the AD. The first has nothing to do with the second or third, and vice-versa. The banner did not make the UT admin move any quicker to fire the AD than they otherwise would have. Just as the banner last year did not make the UM admin move to fire Golden, and just as this years' banners are not going to make them fire Golden. Obviously Shalala wasn't going to can Golden on her way out the door, and obviously Frenk wasn't going to make firing the coach his first priority as new president. They'll fire Golden if/when we lose a few games this season, which is inevitable. And the banner boys will undoubtedly pat themselves on the back for having gotten the job done.

****ing pathetic a5s posters. Creekboyz are interested in that $. If you ain't paying you ain't getting them... Devin bush was NEVER coming here his dad went to fsu so I expect for him to say something like that. Sh*t is dumb, adidas has done more for Miami in the past couple of months than Nike has in years...**** Sam Bruce may still leave even if we get more than 9 wins to go with Scarlett to uf. With that being said Miami will have a good season this year at least 8 and up to 11 wins IMO.

Can anyone translate?

Where did the writer get her information regarding future banners, two days ago?

Spectators at Saturday’s University of Miami vs. Nebraska football game can expect to see more banners trailing airplanes above the stadium. They will call for the Al Golden era to end. They will call for Golden’s head to be placed on a kicking tee.

The unfortunate thing is, those banners will continue to fly even if UM is victorious.

I don't think it's exactly a secret that the WEZ is behind this. The d-bags over at Canesport have been talking about it, and even mentioned something about starting their own to "support the players". I'm not a member and couldn't read the post, I just saw the title. The other day, Manny Navarro was doing some video segment called "Eye on the U' or something like that and he said that he heard from Matt Shodell that there would be 3 banners flying from Nebraska. I don't know from where exactly he got 3... Maybe our 2 and 1 anti-WEZ banner from canesport?

If they fly an "anti WEZ" banner you might just see the WEZ fly 3 or 4 of those mother ****ers per game.

It would be really funny if somebody flew a "support the players" banner, since, yaknow..... nobody has flown a banner calling the players out. Now or ever.
