Banner

The one thing that needs to be on the banner EVERY WEEK is Butch Davis. Stay consistent with the message.

Win or be fired? Win what? The ACC or 8 meaningless games? Can you even answer that question? You can't. Because it's year 5 and we are coming off a 6-7 season, and guess what? He's still here.

That banner is all over the media outlets. It's a major black eye for this program's PR. Fans are angry and they're protesting for change. Our incompetent AD is feeling the pressure to be successful. Our new president will read about this today. The banners may not be the reason they fire Golden; however, it is adding pressure to this program to make serious changes. You're delusional if you think it does nothing.

I recall early, going for it on fourth downs? Seriously? Al Golden going for it on fourth downs?

In ESP's 'The U, Part 2', Butch Davis mentioned the banner that said "National Champs to National Chumps"

Don't think those banners aren't noticed. If there a decent coach anywhere inside Golden, he'll submit to the pressure of that kind of criticism.

Butch made people believe. I don't think Golden can.

The banner is earnest payback on UM Admin & BOTs for keeping Golden for totally unreasonable purposes and sticking it to fans.

The next banner shall remain positive.

It shall continue the message of reflecting the hope and aspiration of a long suffering and tortured fan base yearning for a return to its Glorious past!

sheeed, we are now 3-1 with them (thanks for that loss, Butch). I am a bit superstitious, and since we won 3 in a row with them, now I want one at every game.

The emphasis has to be on UM and Championships! "Making UM great Again" is a great theme and next banner shall not stray from that.

This yearning to return to greatness is about us, UM; it's not about Al Golden, not about Temple, except that Al Golden IS NOT the one that can take us back to the promised land. The banner must be run AGAIN at Nebraska regardless whether UM is defeated by Nebraska or is victorious come Saturday evening. If UM loses the game, then it's pressure before and after the game. If UM prevails as Vegas expects, then the banner serves the dual purpose to keep pressure on Al Golden before the game and well after game, and (2)making it clear that beating Nebraska IS NOT enough as we want Championships, not merely beating a Nebraska (by then) that sucks anyway.

In truth, Al Golden is really not the issue as he was merely a hired hand by UM, however unqualified; he didn't ask for a job he couldn't do well, he just didn't turn down the money offered. Would you? We don't want the media to see him as a sympathetic figure who got blindsided by UM thugs & subsequently NCAA enforcers. So, by no longer mentioning Al Golden, it keeps the message from being overly criticized as crude and cruel, and more tightly with what we want: Greatness. And the world knows that greatness and Al Golden don't go together: "Don't worry about making a great play, 'Just do your job' "

Back to Chasing Championships! How do you go there? With Golden gone, first thing is you bring a new coach, and that's where the next emphasis of the banner go: Bring Butch Back.

The last words of the banner is how you do that. You hire a new coach which is, well, risky. That rising up and comers are chances we can't afford to take, therefore we continue with Butch Davis, and so the end/rest of that banner. Trust me that the media will be sure to pounce on revealing what BBB stands for. That BBB might just the catch of the banner, because the media would be the ones revealing it, and it would generate views to the banner that has to be explained and reported upon as: Bring Butch Back!

Was wondering what you were referring to, as I'm 100% for Butch and not Golden. However, your last paragraph explained and you're right, I'm sure the media will discover and reveal the acronym BBB. I just want Butch to be clearly emphasised to this administration and BOT as the answer. Also, I am in gratitude for all of the efforts.
