The banner doesn't even "support" Carter. It uses his name as a cheerleader for good PR. There is no get well soon Carter, good luck Carter, etc. It's a banner flown for the sole purpose of making the school look better to those who are naive enough to not realize, "hey how does that support the kid?"

If I was in your shoes I would take the positive view point as well. But to think someone out there isn't using this as a marketing ploy for the u is just silly.

Good luck to Carter, I hope he got a smile out of seeing his name up there. Hopefully when he beats what ails him he doesn't look back and realize how so many people used what he was going through as a megaphone for their ignorance and to win favor with the program.

It's fine if it's either. I'm a free speech advocate. But don't make it seem like there's no PR angle to the nice banner because no one with a brain buys it.

if you want a "fire al" banner, then fly a "fire al" banner. if you want a jim kelly banner, then fly a jim kelly banner. they should be exclusive of each other. that's the only problem i have. sure, the carter banner could've been a pro-golden shill (i think that notion is a little bit of a reach), but they didn't say it and tag on "save golden" or something like that on it. there's a fundamental difference and you idiots refuse to see it.

Instead they signed it "-Carter" Completely inappropriate. Absolutely horrible. Glad DHucks wasn't offended, but that's all AFTER THE FACT that his son's name was exploited.

That's great for your son. I know a guy that hangs with one of our Sr. linemen all the time. He say's the exact opposite of what your son is quoting his source as saying. He said that if things had gone skeewampus vs Vag tek the players would have basically quit on the corches.

I trust my source more than I trust yours and I'm sure you feel the same.

So at this point it's all hearsay and 3rd party speculation isn't it?

These corches are horrible. That's the bottom ******* line.

The banner was a big investment for some die hard fans like pimp. He donated his hard earned savings towards it. Since the team is winning now and they can't seem to get rid of golden or get all the players who "hate" golden to quit on him and lose out, they might as well take credit for the wins.
