First, the Louisville game was a ghost town. Second, it's embarrassing that they had so many empty seats against us. Third, look how many fans we had.

Yeah, but they will be packing Doak to the gills when Florida State College for Women plays Louisiana-Monroe to try and qualify for a bowl game. Hot ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being a real fan has very little to do with where you live or where you went to school ect. It is about being real for whatever team you are rooting for no matter how good or bad they are . I have watched or listened to every Canes game since 1987 when I was 7 years old . I have been in South florida maybe a total of 25 days in my life ( the 20 or so games I have gone to at the OB and Pro player/hardrock ) but I am as diehard as they come . I dislike someone dictating who or what a real fan is . There are many types of real fans. I do agree though if you live close to the program and CAN AFFORD IT you should try to make as many home games as possible. Living in Jacksonville I try to make one home game a year as that is what I can afford .

And, real fans use Sebastian with the pipe, so you're good.

When we say "It's a Canes thing, you wouldn't understand", we mean it. I have friends who attended UF and FSU but are diehard Miami football fans. My entire group that goes to games with me went to UCF. See, we all loved UM football for years, even decades before enrolling in college. I didn't change my allegiances just because I took some classes at another school. I went the the UM/UCF game in Orlando a few years ago in full UM gear and cheered for the Hurricanes. I've been eating **** for the past decade plus as my team had become "irrelevant". My friends from rival schools didn't even bother talking smack anymore because of how bad Miami had gotten. Well, those days are passed. All the time I sat in an empty Sunlife/Hardrock/Orange Bowl is now just a memory.

My first game I ever went to was in 2007 vs Oklahoma. Yea I watched them on tv but I wanted to actually experience a game. It was a hot and muggy day with random rain showers and Miami was blown out. After that game I was hooked. Between the driving to Norman and getting the "U" from the others drivers and the middle fingers of OU fans to the canes walk to the stadium. It was a experience I will never forget. No I didn't go to UM and I lived in Louisiana but I still repped my Miami gear. This is during the LSU and Nick Satan era. I could of easily jumped on that bandwagon but I didn't. After that game I made a decision to go to at least one UM game a year. Fast forward ten years and an opportunity to move to Fort Lauderdale, I now have season tickets. Call me what you want...

Been a fan since the 80's since my dad would take me to the games in the WEZ. The whole stadium would rock. Have always watched, or listened...i live and die by my Canes.

FSU is smart and let the fans move closer so it looks fuller on tv

I was in the club section for the FSU game and most of the people were inside.

I got that picture from an FSU site, and they said "the club section was empty, as usual." And, there is no way there were 3-4K people inside.

I've been a fan since a kid in 1991 when I first started seriously watching football. Did I attend the University of Miami? Nope. And neither did my Dad, who was the reason why I started following the Canes to begin with.

Who cares? I've always thought that the University of Miami football team is South Florida's team if some punk *** **** questions my fandom.

Yeah UM is just as much South Florida's team than anything else. I've watched UM since I was a child, did I have enough money to go to UM? No, I went to FIU. But you know what? All 4 years I was at FIU I had season tickets for UM. I'd go to FIU games on days that UM was away or on bye, or even stop at FIU on my way home from a UM game. But if anything I was a bandwagon FIU fan because I only went to games those two fun years they had with TY Hilton lol

If we don't go to the games, it's because we're bandwagon fans. If we do go to the games, it's because we're bandwagon fans. At least we have ties to South Florida. Want to venture a guess at how many Domers actually graduated from Notre Dame or have ties to South Bend? Practically zero.
