Not as a dc though. We can at least offer him play calling role, coach dbacks, or give him authority to hire his own assistant, and he gets to come home. He and Lashlee also overlapped at Auburn, so there's that as well.

Banda and Manny are boys.

Utah State’s interest dovetails nicely with the fact that Banda has an inkling there will be a new DC, in which case the risk of him not being retained goes way up.

I can’t believe no one has thought of this scenario. That basically Banda knows that the entire defense will be overhauled with a new DC, and that he better get while the getting is good.

That is what I’m praying it is. And it does make sense.

I’ve thought this since the rumors began several days ago about Banda. It’s a way for Manny and Banda to save face if Manny decides to clean house, or at least make some changes and gives Banda a parachute.
