We just need Bama to beat Auburn.

Auburn is the highest ranked 2 loss team. That would eliminate them if they lose to Bama.

Wisconsin will lose to the buckeyes in the big 10 champ game.

UGA has 2 losses after losing the SEC championship game

Even if we drop the Clemson game (I think we win that btw) the final 4 would be:

1. Bama 13-0
2. Clemson 12-1
3. Oklahoma 12-1
4. Miami 11-1

You can't put a 2 loss team in over a 1 loss Miami team whose only loss is to a playoff team.

I hope the team is not thinking about what other teams are doing. Just concentrate on the next opponent.

As impressive as last 2 weeks have been, I wouldn't want Bama on a neutral field, they'd give us the business 35-7

Nah. Bama has no LBs right now. Miss State took advantage of that. With them losing all their backers they may not get past auburn and Georgia let alone two playoff games

No one looks unbeatable. To be honest, miami is playing the best football in the country right now. Need to get a little better in red zone, but it looks like we are making progress there.
Wouldn't be surprised is Auburn knocks off Bama, which puts Auburn in SEC championship game against UGA. What will be total b.s. is if Bama doesn't even play in SEC championship game and still gets a playoff nod as 1 loss team. Which i would put the odds at 99%that the BCS would put a 1 loss sec team that didn't even play in the conference championship game in the playoffs over a 1 loss Miami team that loses to Clemson in the ACC championship (we won't but if it happens we aren't in playoffs).

People saying "just win" don't understand the college football playoff era

Every team needs help, EVERY team.

IF we lose to Clemson (defending national champs) even close then we NEED help

Actually, if we just win, we don't need to worry about what anyone else does. We certainly wouldn't need help if we win out.

My biggest concern is Auburn beating Bama, because a two loss Auburn team would certainly jump a one loss Miami team, IF we were to lose a game.

Hang on, isn't there another 12-1 team not listed in this scenario? I think dropping Ark. St in the scenario listed may actually bite us.

You contradicted yourself. If we "just win", then there is no "if we lose" situation. Just winning ends any help that we might need from anyone else.

This would actually play well with the “redemption” theme for the season ...

Meeting Alabama (team Dabo played for) in the Sugar Bowl again in the 1st round, and then playing the Clemson Tigers in Atlanta ... City of the Peach Bowl loss to the Nick Saban led LSU Tigers.

I know, I know ... I’m reaching. But just go with it!

How Wisconsin losing to a non-playoff team be better than the Canes losing to Clemson?

And what Wisconsin win would be better than Notre Dame or Virginia Tech?

I think Wisconsin is the B1G’s only chance at making the playoffs, unless Ohio State gets a ton of help from Miami (beating Clemson), Oklahoma (winning out), and Alabama (winning out). If a isconsin wins out, they’re in. And if they drop 1, but win the B1G, I think they’ll still get in, as it opens the door for 4 conference champs.

I realize it is fun for you boys to speculate what may happen. 3 games left before four teams chosen for playoffs. A lot of things can happen until then. It's premature to predict final 4. When we go undefeated in regular season, acc playoff will dictate who gets into finals. If we happen to get beat by Clemson I don't think committee will want 2 acc teams in playoffs.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. Clemson and OKlahoma both would give us more trouble . Bama is an amazing match up for us IMO . On a neutral feild UM wins 28-17 IMO . The worst match up for us is Clemson but I think if we play like we have the last 2 weeks we win a game like 24-21 or something .

We need Oklahoma or Whisky to lose in the next few weeks to make this possible. Both losing would help even more.

But as others have said, just win and it doesnt matter.

BTW I was just talking with some Clemson season ticket holders and they said "uh yea we can't pass the ball so you all are going to beat us, we are a similar team to ND"
