Dude gave up. I expected more out of him.
His reasoning for not caring made no sense.
To each their own. But I can still find it annoying.
Have to believe we are inVegas had it right last year on Sunday Morning when they took Bama off the board and made SMU heavy favorites. So far we're trending up as of right now....
I understand why he’s doing it.I see where he’s coming from but gotta gauge what people want to hear better. He was obviously trying to steer the narrative of positivity into the offseason for once, but I’m fast forwarding
4 teams in isn't enough for the greedy ********!The committee is petrified the SEC will take their ball and go home, like threatening to stop playing a championship game if one of their teams is penalized for losing.
That’s what this all comes down to.
Yep! Scam all the way. No one to advocate for Miami. They bumped Bama up after a terrible win. Every other team outside the SEC (and maybe Big 10) would've been knocked down!! But they moved up! Giving them some runway in case they got stomped by GA. Well, here we are! They should have never moved Bama up to #9 last week after barely beating a coachless 1 SEC win Auburn team.
They knew that they were doing..this is the EXACT scenario they were planning for..
Pete has been a HUGE disappointment. It’s been so bad until you don’t want to hear anything he says.Meanwhile, Pete is tweeting about Jai Lucas after our basketball team beat Southern Miss.
Read the ******* room, dude. No one cares about that right now.
With the committee watching the games live, on just about every broadcast it was mentioned Head to head has to matter.Even without Alabama the SEC already has 4 teams squarely in the CFP, 1 more than the Big 10 who's their biggest conference competitor.
The SEC championship game is going to lose value if the precedent is set that there are actual stakes resulting from the outcome? Wouldn't more people tune in if one of the teams could potentially be bounced out?
The last week or so it's gotten much louder than I expected from the national media types about us being behind ND. When SVP, Stephen A, Finebaum, Saban, Clay Travis, etc (as well as higher up Politicians) are all aligned on an issue that holds weight.
I'm not saying it means we're in tomorrow. What I'm saying is that when there's a clear injustice, it won't simply get swept under the rug. The SEC strong arming a corrupted committee into include an undeserving team of theirs year after year would trigger extreme backlash, especially after those teams repeatedly get exposed in the tournament.
Yes I believe Sankey & Disney hold real power, but I also think their leverage is overestimated, and the rest of the field's willingness to bend the knee is underrated. If they decided (along with the BIG 10) to just "walk away" as Pate and others have theorized, then that would mean killing off a ton of their value. They're most valuable when viewed as the king(s) of the jungle -- why would they set fire to a significant chunk of that jungle?
Media entities would also lose their non-SEC/BIG 10 fan viewership out of retaliation or apathy. Not to mention the non-Big 2 schools would no doubt join together -- and while not at the same level competitively -- could/would take a large share of the talent pool through NIL/Rev Share opportunities.
SEC can huff and puff all they want, but they ain't built to blow the house down.
OMG!! bro you ain’t lying. It has been horribleBeen really tough listening to him last few weeks tbh
This is just dumb. If it’s not rigged Alabama is out! They have no shot at winning a national championship. They got there shot yesterday against a contender and it wasn’t a competitive football game. They have 3 losses, one to a common opponent Miami beat and beyond the 3 losses Miami and ND look like better teams who can competeThe more I think about it the more I think ND should be left out and easy explanation from the comittee
1. ESPN has interests in both the ACC and SEC
2. The comittee already stated 3 spots is the magic number for H2H to come into play
3. Bama losing in a non competitive game forces them the analyze the 3 teams from scratch
#9 seed: Miami- Same Regular Season Record as Notre Dame, Beat ND and Beat FSU who beat bama.
So now the committee is forced to either penalize a championship game player or a team without a conference.
Bama has the better wins the ND and played in a championship game.
Bama is the 10# seed and ND is left out due to not being in a conference.
They don't.We have common opponents with #9, #10, #11 and #13 and a win over #9.
I mean.. the fck? Make any of these counter debates make sense.
