They recruit big kids though too guys who have that frame for added muscle, Jobe is a well built kid already even though hes 65 years old. Scarbrough was already big Trent was big Julio was big, **** when we got Andre Johnson he was pretty big.

And those big guys put on 30 lbs and are somehow even more athletic than when they were lighter. They’ve recruited some skinny guys that look inflated now. Ridley is the skinniest guy on their team but he is much bigger than I would’ve ever thought looking at his hs pics.

It's blatant that their players are on something - they look like NFL Blitz characters. It's also why a lot of them flop in the pros - they're maxed physically at 20.

Whereas most college players when drafted will improve physically as well as mentally. Alabama guys have nowhere to go.

Winning the conference is not, has not been, and will not be a requisite metric of making the playoff. At least not until the current contract runs out, which isnt for something like 9 more years.

Their exact metric, as stated in their mission statement is only who looks the best to the committee. Conference titles, head to head, common opponents, strength of schedule etc. etc. etc are nothing but tie breakers. They could choose to put a 6-6 team in and we would have to accept it because that is the system that has been implemented - the opinion of the committee, not necessarily the field results.
