Bama to get more practice time than Clemson

Lol there are ways around it.

Coaches have "voluntary" practices and meetings all the time that don't count against their hours.

We did it all the time when I played baseball in college

Im sure but still, you have to do a workaround and essentially commit a violation to have equal practice time? These paper pushers are ******* retarded.
 
I believe this is one of the major obstacles for the 8 team playoff expansion many people seem to want.

Hopefully the NCAA finds a way to make it less of an issue in the future (but I am not so sure they will see it as a priority).
 
This may be the dumbest rule interpretation yet. Or a brilliant maneuver by Saban. Has Alabama altered their academic year?

"To honor the first national championship game in over twenty seasons, Clemson President WhatsHisName announced an extra one week to the holiday break. School will resume one week later than usual, in order to celebrate this blessed event."

Alabama does it on purpose that is how focused they are on their football program's success. But really if you have good leadership on the team you can use all your hours for practice time and meetings then have the players run their own workouts and extra meetings or film study or whatever.

I'm sure Clemson has good leadership or they wouldn't have made it that far. Lifting sessions and conditioning are really grey area when it comes to those hours anyway. Teams rarely log them. We rarely had meetings and film study for baseball of course but I'm sure they will find a way to get in all the necessary time they want without being shorted out.

Could play in their favor as well as you don't want to overwork your guys leading up to the game. I'm sure Saban knows what he's doing since he's been there so many times, but Dabo has never had to do this and doesn't know how far to take the practices and stuff leading up to this game. This puts a cap on it and keeps him from possibly trying too hard and doing too much.

Saban will win this title then head to the NFL. That will be the end of the bammer dynasty....glad its over. Time for a new program to take over wink wink.
 
It's garbage but Bama having a higher salary cap than Clemson is what is the real competitive disadvantage. That said, Dabo still will win. 31-24. Buy some Canes season tix with your winnings from a Clemson moneyline wager.
 
Dude they arent beating bama, bama has better playwrs saban is no genius. He just gets the best players period. No need to develop cooper ridley and those types, they come in as freshmen know the route tree and abuse people. The running backs just tel them run str8 behind a massive OL.

They had the better players then Oklahoma in 2013 and better then OSU in 2014. Both teams ran all over them.
