BAMA Team Doctor's Statement About Tua Injury

Doctors always talk positive. I was huh when he was being flown to Birmingham for treatment. Who goes to Birmingham for anything forget serious surgeries. You go to a major hospital hub.

Little skeptical about the 'full recovery' mantra. Full recovery might mean he will be able to walk again and do things an average human being can do. But playing QB and dodging 400 lb highly ****ed off linemen that can run a 4.6 - 40?

If anything, his wheels aren't going to be the same. Gore had two ACL tears, has a HOF career, but he wasn't as explosive as he was in college.

Time will tell. If I were a general manager on an NFL team; hard pass on 1st round pick.

Probably went there for immediate treatment and diagnosis. He went to a specialist in Houston, apparently.

Maybe Tua should redshirt 2020, rehab, and comeback to play at Bama in 2021. Try to reset his draft stock as a top 5 pick.

that scenario might present a very interesting situation... Tua's younger brother Taulia who is currently on the roster at Bama and according to some people has really good skills would most likely be Bama's starting QB by then ...

Why are people so hesitant to acknowledge that this is possibly a career ending injury, and almost certainly a career altering injury?

All we get from team doctors and the school is “expected to make a full recovery”. That’s a lie. If he made a full recovery he would be the same, eventually, after the injury as before. But he won’t be the same. It really feels like Bama is trying to blow smoke up our collective asses to make Saban not look so terrible for playing a guy who had been rushed back too soon from an ankle injury. An injury which impacted his speed and made him more susceptible to being caught. Like a gazelle with a bad ankle trying to outrun lions.

Hopefully they have that insurance policy. They're gonna need a bunch of money to move the whole family back to Hawaii or wherever. I can't imagine them wanting to stay living in Alabama.
