Bama Switching QBs

Give me game proof that Jacurri can throw outside of Greentree please. And if he can why is he possibly taking a shirt and and backing up a true freshman who actually can throw. Riddle me that.

If you've got two QBs, you've got no QBs. Alabama finally coming back to earth after the remarkable QB run in Hurts/Tua/Jones/Young.
I'm sure you weren't saying the same thing when Jalen Hurts and Tua were splitting time.

It's amazing to me that they didn't go all in on Sam Hartman.

Buchner has talent but not sure what else he's got beyond B+ physical tools. OK runner, OK arm (not nearly the same athlete as Milroe) but not a guy who will drop back and move to his second, third and fourth options to pick apart a defense.

He also throws makes some absolutely dreadful decisions. And that's compounded by the fact that Tommy Rees will occasionally do the same thing.

Don't see this ending up well for Bama.

Buchner is absolute water trash.....played 0 comp in high school and outside notre dames bowl game he was horrendous.....I think he has more ints than tds

Brown to me just looks like an athletic QB who needs to polish up his game a bit and working hard in practice can do that.

Milroe to me just looks like a RB that can throw from time to time. Not enough polishing is going to make that kid any better.

Brown looks nothing like a quarterback, and never has. Faster he realizes this, the better for all parties involved.

Gotta say, that true freshman that can actually throw, can actually really freakin throw. I'm really thankful we are recruiting QBs that can do just that. I get it, people get all lathered up thinking their next athletic QB is the second coming of Michael Vick, but Vick never won a national title. Give me a guy that can throw to all parts of the field and keep the D on their heels by getting the ball into the hands of his playmakers.

By the way, our 2 minute drills are scary good, for this reason. For the first time in forever, I thought we'd march down the field and score easily before halftime. I felt like I was watching the 84 Dolphins. I remember how it felt being genuinely excited to watch Marino get the ball back with a minute left. You knew he was going to carve up a D. To feel like that again is pretty darn sweet.

Exactly.. Jacurri Brown will be unstoppable behind this oline with Coach Dawson. Especially next year when he’s the starter.
Except Brown never showed he could hit every part of the field like TVD. We could put Kirby Freeman in there last year and he'd have looked like dog crap. It doesn't mean he'd look any better in this O this year. He'd have still sucked and dragged the O down.

I'm not giving up on Brown, but I think Williams is the future.

Everyone is trying to figure out what’s wrong with Bama, and I agree with Josh Pate that it’s coaching. Saban used to have an All-Star coaching staff every year( Kiffin, Kirby, Mario, Sark, and on and on), but now when you look at their coaching staff it’s kinda mid. I’ve also noticed a regression in their trench play on both sides of the ball. They used to dominate the line of scrimmage and it just isn’t happening anymore. Their talent alone is still good for 9+ wins, but something is definitely amiss with Bama.
