Mario is probably one step ahead. He can preserve his red shirt while strategically putting him in a special package in 4 games throughout the season.

Hopefully against F$U we have some gadget plays and special unseen packages. They had trouble with LSU's Qb when he ran.

Tommy Rees is a fcknut Play caller & doesn't understand how to utilize a QB like Milroe.
Give him to Kendal Briles, Gus Malzahn, Will Stein etc & watch what they would do with him.
If Saban doesn't find a Fired Coach that he can place as a secondary OC at Analyst, Bama's season is completely fcked. Which is great for the rest of College Football.
Only one Giant left to topple over & the SEC is gonna be crashing hard this year.

He asked to redshirt, so that means you only get to put him in 4 games. Why would you spend one of your 4 on Bethune?
The obvious fact about JB is he has a skillset that Emory and TVD don’t have. He also has experience against teams far better than Bethune. So what experience is he going to gain from playing Bethune?
I wouldn’t have put him in that game. I would put him in for certain packages against teams that matter instead. ACC games.
