Just got back from the game.
When Alabama wins next week, you can add another team to any "Greatest Team of All Time" list. This team is unreal and they look like they coast for three quarters.
Saban and Alabama are just on another level. Like I was telling my friend...we can have a Gerald Willis every year and it won't mean a thing. Alabama has 8 of him. That was the story of the night, IMO. Oklahoma has one of college footballs best - if not THE best - OLs in the country and it didn't mean a **** thing. Quinnen Williams gets hurt...they just had this little bowling ball named Mathis chasing down Oklahoma RBs down the line of scrimmage. Completely dominated the OU OL all night. Bama would play some strong press coverage (saw CeeDee Lamb legit get put onto the bench by Saivion Smith with one hand three times before Bama was up 28-0) and rush 5 and Oklahoma found themselves down by four scores.
For some reason, Saban wanted to make a show of it and only rushed 3 or 4 for the rest of the game, allowing Oklahoma to score some points and entertain us plebes who came out to see a show. Needless to say, when the worst defender on Alabama was true freshman Patrick Surtain Jr., what they have going on up there is ridiculous.
Offensively, Tua's passes are like he's playing a video game with QB Accuracy slider at 100. He really pops in person. His ability to throw with touch and lead guys and throwing to a spot is unreal for a sophomore in college. Their receivers rival any group of WRs in the history of the game outside of some of ours. Jeudy, Ruggs, Waddle, Smith are ridiculous. Throw in Irv Smith at TE. Jesus.
Incredibly impressed wish Jacobs. He runs angry and his feet never stop moving. Alabama OL is five guys who play on Sundays.
Going to watch Big Boy football like this just sobers you to the realization that we are closer to Toledo then we are to Alabama.
