I didn't indicate anywhere in my reply that you or I labeled Butch "great". What I'm saying is that he is better than he was and he began horrifically, just like Manny... [And to be clear here, and to avoid anyone creating a Strawman... I AM NOT saying Manny will become Butch at Miami.]

Manny has the opportunity for the next year (or two) to amass talent and improve his coaching staff to a level where his faults aren't enough to derail victories.

He's embracing the new waves and soaking to what kids are today. That angers most of us fans over the age of 35 simply because it's not what we're used to. And it angers the 18-35 crowd because we're not winning with it.

Had we beaten FL, lost to UNC, beaten FSU and lost to UVA and still lost the coastal, but went 10-2.. everyone of us would be able to stomach the bull**** and the antics knowing the recruiting class we have and having beaten our rivals and shown up.

But, we didn't. He flopped. Now we're angry.

At the end of the day, most fans don't give a flying fück how you go about winning games, so long as you're winning.

That was my argument, that is my argument, it will continue to be my argument.

What a bunch of dumb *** comments, regardless of who we have as a coach or what staff we have, we absolutely HAVE to be able to bring in talent. I can tell you right now that the te of players we have isn't talented enough to win the ACC. I think we all know that

Honestly this team isn't better than 8 or 9 wins, IMO. Our oline is absolutely atrocious, our QB play is the most inconsistent I've ever seen, our defensive backfield is about as consistent as our QB play...and we're losing some big time experience and leadership in Shaq and Pink, so I'm great with what these guys are doing 'right now' in recruiting. The next step is to secure these kids.....and of course fire PEnos after that, Lmao.

I think it's because most of us don't get today's teenagers. Kids eat this **** up. It's about creating a series of 5-second engagements that kids will recall made them feel good. That's relationships now. It's no longer about the 4 hours Urban Meyer used to spend on the phone locking up a #1 recruit. It's about laughs and likes.

We don't get that because we grew up differently.
 
we will have a loaded defense that will continue to crumble under the weight of an atrocious offense that gives up field position and points to inferior teams

It's been a week since the season ended and he still hasn't made changes while other programs in the same boat have fired coaches.

If he hasn't made changes now he better hope Enos wakes up and the OL improves dramatically

Maaaaaaannn... Enos wouldn't have made it back to campus with me after Duke. My ONLY hope is that he has given Enos an ultimatum for the bowl game.

You gotta continue to groom Baker because he runs your shît and you're getting him at a discount. User that money elsewhere. But I would get rid of one of Rumph or Banda and get a dedicated special teams coach.

Like I said earlier, he'll get this next year to do it his way. Either it got better or we'll begin the process of searching for #6 with someone else, imo.

All show and cheap talk. Shouldn’t be too surprising it works well on impressionable high schoolers. Also shouldn’t be surprising it translates to actual **** play on the field and players quitting at the slightest indication of adversity.

Of course no one would care if we where winning games, but there is a small issue here. We weren't winning games.

If I came in and told the guys to do ballet all day and never practice football. And we won back to back national championships. Everyone would be happy with my tactics as well. However, we wouldn't be winning games. Butches first season here he was co champ of the big east, so he did not start out nearly as horrible as Manny.

Right, we are getting to the point of the year when we can laugh at the turds and their post season catastrophes. Then they seemed to pull it together for the season unfortunately.
