Bain making serious gains

Bain is going to be a 1st rounder and a Pro Bowler. Rating him 4 stars with how dominant he was in high school was just dumb, everybody knew it was dumb then and everybody knows it was dumb now. This is a 5 star athlete no question.

Also, how the **** did those old Eagles teams ever lose a game? That defense had crazy talent with Jerome and Reggie White, and the offense had Randall Cunningham and Keith Jackson. But I don't remember them ever winning more than 10 games a season with all that talent.
2 words, offensive line. Buddy Ryan couldn’t draft a quality OL if his life depended on it.

I was going to post the same. Just because they may be harder doesn’t make them better or even effective, as evidenced by his gains here.
The odds of Central's S&C Coach doing something right = the broken clock theory
But then again who cares about your bench max? Once it's over 315 for a DE move on

I may be off but what gathered was he wasn’t just referencing lifting weights but also the conditioning aspect. A lot people use “workout” in an all encompassing fashion.

I know a couple of folks in the HIIT group space and they all say “workout” when referencing their activities and it’s very little to no weightlifting involved.

I took it as Bain saying they ran more or their exercising was more intense at Central.

Yeah I'm sure Central worked "harder" not smarter like most HS FB programs do.
I'd rather go the route LSU is taking and focusing on sport science. Get better, not battered

Well if his bench really went from 275 to 400+ in the few mo ths since he got to Miami, they were doing something wrong.
Exactly. Maybe they were overtraining and not giving the muscles (body) enough time to properly recover. Jit went from 275, to 400, that fast? That's a helluva jump.

Yeah if centrals SC program is better than its then just shut the program down now.

I’m fairly certain if last year’s team played Central we would have them a pretty tough battle. They wouldn’t have just had their way with us 😂

I have long felt the same. True greatness and a joy to watch.
