Bad news, good news....

Bad news is i think most of us are in love with an idea and not facts. To keep it simple we are a small, hated, private institution that simply cant compete with the current structure of recruiting, legal or illegal.

Good news is we should still win the Coastal every year even with a recruiting class full of 3*s.

On a side note, stop letting these ***ing kids on campus a 1000 times when they are being recruited. Lets keep some ***** mystique.

Can we also stop giving these kids and their families free tickets to all of the home games.

Dude, we arent even getting the 3*s. Were getting beat for those guys by Minnesota, Syracuse, UCF, Miss St., etc.
 
That last point is super interesting. These kids maybe get a feeling of been there done that with us after all these visits? Then they get two nights in Athens and wonder what a life there would be like? Bags don't hurt with that second part. And you can't really solve that because if you tell a kid stop coming to campus they'll get ****ed lol

We need to have backup plans for all the top kids we aren’t getting.These idiot coaches have fooled themselves into thinking that these kids love the U and are dying to get here.WRONG !!!!

These kids love THEMSELVES and only want to know what’s in it for them and their family.Theyve been coddled since they were 8-9 years old..maybe younger.Theyre used to them and their parents being “ taken care of” for their services.Rent,food,electric bill money turns into cars,mortgage payments,and 500 dollar handshakes as they get older.

The Baseball coaches fell into the same trap of only recruiting the top guys then watched them all get drafted,take the money and they were left holding their meat scrambling to fill their roster.

Recruiting IS about relationships to a certain point but when it comes to the top kids it’s soooooo much more.If you’re not willing OR able to give them what they are looking for you **** sure better have backup plans because that relationship you thought you had with that 5* well he just signed with the other guy that didn’t have as great a relationship but he had all the other things necessary.

Agree with this 100%. Get kids who have a PASSION for football who are under looked.

We could've had Asante a year ago but we thought we had TC.

We could've had Wright this year but we thought we had Crowley and McIntosh.

That's just a couple of examples. You can look all across the college landscape and find guys from our back yard. That got dissed by this program. For big name divas.

We are not up to our max numbers but we had Richt walking around. Like he could just get whomever he wanted. Hope Manny is smarter than that and changes ways.
 
Start to take Jaden Davis /John Dixons & let the blue chips spots fill up. If they miss out, oh well
 
so what happened last year and earlier this year when Miami has the 19, 20, and 21 # 1 classes? just curious

Jesus, Mary and St. Joseph, thank you! Get these *** hats who are going someplace else off the campus. Send a message, you are not wanted, take your cash and you car somewhere else.

being so gullible in recruiting is a big problem the defensive coaches have. They have a bad time reading these situations

Exactly! Let’s not forget that side of recruiting. We missed out or simply told kids they weren’t good enough then all of a sudden they blow up and sign with someone then we say “Florida kid ain’t loyal” yet forget that the staff ignored them for the pat 10 months.
