The most important trait. Is finding guys who will not quit. Guys that wake up in the morning looking to gain that starting spot and if they happen to lose said spot. It just fuels them more to get it back. We're not getting them guys much anymore.
Blame it on the troll or the coaches we've hired but them dudes really don't want to come here anymore. We're recruiting plenty of them but they just go elsewhere. This program is toxic and needs a certain type of HC to come in and re balance it.
When you got guys dancing on the sideline while getting that *** whooped by FIU. Guys after the game eating snickers and just not caring that they just lost. That isn't going to inspire guys that are hungry and want to win. To come and play for this program.
This place is a country club and sure we get some dudes who are talented to come here with the trait above but them are the dudes you referenced in your OP from the 70's. The Dukes and AR15 types. The guys who just love the program too much to go elsewhere. The rest just don't want to touch this ****.
